Man, that's it; people get so worked up. Everybody just needs to relax. Sometimes I imagine certain posters and envision them standing on a box with a bullhorn, shouting at anyone who walks by.

You missed a great run. However, people were still pissed all the time because we rarely beat Florida. Some folks are never happy regardless.

It's so obvious that we have some on here who denigrate all the good things of the 90's because we didn't do this or that or everyone else sucked. Although, they didn't. I suspect they have an agenda for some reason.

We could go undefeated next year and people would find something to complain about. I can barely go on the ff any more.

Yes, they are missing. I didn't want to see them every time I hit new post, but I still wanted to peek at them at my leisure. If I have to choose between one or the other, I'll take what you did for me. Thanks.:eek:k:

The argument that the SEC was down during that time? That's probably true. It didn't take away my enjoyment of the wins though. :)

You could also argue that minus Spurrier, we win a few championships. So it works both ways.

I can flip the switch back any time. The only way I know to accomplish what you are asking is the solution I provided Verc, but I can see how that is inconvenient.

I know. It's an opinion to some degree. I look at the top 25 right now and don't see more than 5-6 teams that should really be there. But, because everyone else is so down, they're on the list. If Tennessee could have played to the potential of our talent this year, I think we'd be top 15 right now.

One other thing I could do would be to put a link for you as a "notice" that would show up at the top of the forums. Instead of clicking new posts you would click that link. Let me know if you'd like to try that instead.

I'm good. Most in that forum is garbage by the ones being paid to spam message boards anyway. It's probably in my best interest to not see it. Thanks.

They aren't far from being 5-1. I wonder what the record might me if we still ran a 4-3?

Hard to say. You never know when you change something like that. Tennessee needs to get back to what they do best and not change schemes based on some knee jerk reaction by the fans. We did that in the mid 2000's and it didn't work out well. Happened with Fulmer. A lot of people were yammering for the run and gun or spread offense. So much so that Phil hired Clawson for that purpose. We didn't have the finesse players for those schemes, so they failed contributing to the further decline of the program.

Interesting you should say that. I told a bunch of folks back in the days that floriduh was beating us when we had better talent than they had that I thought if we had Spurrier as our coach we would have had about 4 or 5 more national titles.

Spurrier was very good in that time. After they decided to get rid of Phil, Spurrier would have been my choice.
