Come on. Pearl isn't the reason that Tyler might not be a NBAer. NBA prospects can come here and go on to the NBA. Hell, Dean Smith never let a player showcase his talents and the league was full of his guys.

Well put. CBP said in preseason that this team just didn't figure out what he wanted, from the press to the half court. Tyler is suppose to lead, whether slow it down or clear out if he has the mismatch or even get in the others face to get them to focus. He's not doing any of the above.

I posted it earlier and still stand by the this is a group failure. Not just the players, not just the coach but all involved. They were flat from the get go. No 'bounds to no loose ball dives. We circle the wagons on the plane ride home or league play is going to be one to forget.

If this is a serious list, I suggest you lay off the cheap Vodka and step your game up. Not to mention 3/4 of those guys would never come here regardless to what we offer and I would consider maybe one or two of these guys would even consider it. Of course then it's like christmas shopping at Goodwill if we take their services.

Exactly, but some people absolving Bruce of any blame whatsoever are just acting ridiculous. He has to get that intensity back, that fire back and then hopefully the players respond. They need to show more heart, more grit, more toughness. Wayne has to get that fire and that passion for rebounding back, because that is where UT needs him the most.

Tennessee is still somewhat on the up, while those coaches will not leave their current jobs, if they were forced to resign I cannot see them turning down the chance to coach at UT. Look at Bob Knight going to Texas Tech.

when a team is this F'd up... no discipline, no effort, no leadership, no heart, no fundamentals, streetball everywhere... it's all on the coach period.

HE'S HAD THESE GUYS FOR TWO FREEEKIN YEARS NOW! SOME FOR 3+ YEARS!!

this isn't just one game... or even a stretch of 3 games at which point a team leader calls a team only meeting and the players get their crap together. THIS IS 30 SOMETHING GAMES NOW WHERE WE GENERALLY LOOK LIKE OUT OF CONTROL, STREET BALL KIDS RUNNING AROUND JACKIN' UP CRAP AND PLAYING NO DEFENSE.

I'm not defending him. I've been disappointed in our erratic play all year long against non-cupcake teams. He has to put a solid product on the floor by the end of the year or this will be a complete failure considering how high we were ranked and everyone's expectations for the team. The talent is there. Get Chism on the block playing with the big boys instead of acting like a 6'9" shooting guard when he needs to be doing the dirty work(where i've said numberous times he could average 20 and 10). This year is put up or shut up and could define his tenure because he has all of his recruits, guys he wanted, on the floor. Hopson has crazy athleticism but is happy being a cement statue on the perimeter. Tyler Smith should be doing work in the paint, and well you know my feelings on Chism. Those three should be able to carry this team to 20 wins alone, but I don't know if we will see it this year.

With improvement comes higher expectations. Do you think Kiffin would keep his job going 8-4 every year and not getting a BCS bowl game? No. I grew up watching the suck known as UT basketball, and I appreciate what Bruce has done but it disgusts me watching our playground offense and our "Ole!" defense. Also I was pretty upset watching our press letting USC run coast to coast numerous times without so much as a challenge, minus the inbounds pass.

So we're not allowed to have high expectations for our bball program? I want this program to finally win an sec tourney and get past the sweet 16. Accepting mediocrity is what allowed the fired coach to stay around for so long.

Are you kidding! not a sole would take this job a few years ago, bruce brings 20+ wins every year and youre ready to jump ship?

JUST DONT COME BACK ROOTIN FOR THIS TEAM WHEN WERE IN THE TOURNEY AND SWEET SIXTEEN. THIS PROGRAM DOESNT WANT YOU AS A FAN. WHAT A HORRIBLE EXCUSE FOR A VOL.

True vols bleed orange during the great times and bad times. Obviously your only a fan during the good times.

One game doesnt make or break a season, especially in December. If VN didnt have a new rule on name calling, Id call you everything in the book.

What a joke!
