The Dow tomorrow: Predictions?

the gov't basically told the shorts they are going to screw em if they try to bring another company down.

With the market up in back to back days like this, I have two questions.

First, where are all the people who pointed out that it lost a bunch of points in the week after the election? This morning I heard Limbaigh talking about it being down for a bit after Obama's finanical team announcement. Bet he's not willing to credit Obama with the increase today or Friday, though.

Second, anyone want to bet that tomorrow sees a pretty big profit-taking sell off? I say it does.

1) the market is still down 20% since obama won the election. obama not going far left on his appointments has helped the recovery though, but i'd say the C bailout had a lot more to do with that than obama.

2) we saw the profit taking around 12:45. i bet we're up tomorrow and weds.

skf (ultra short financials) has dropped from 300 to 144.

i'm counting my profits this week. . .always a sign we are due for a big down day.

A temp worker for WMT. dies after he was trampled by a throng of unruly shoppers at 5AM. in NYC. The shoppers broke down the doors getting in. That's just crazy..

Looking to retest the highs on the VIX of 82 which means more downside ahead

Dorski... What do you think of whole life policies? I recently purchased a 10 pay WL policy from a top mutual company. I bought it for the "Life Benefits" and figured it was a good way to save and have a small death benefit and collect a dividend and use that built up cash value later in life. I figured it was a good way to save and have a 3-5% "guaranteed" return. Your thoughts?

Most people consider whole life a bad investment. Just simply purchase the life insurance you need at the cheaper rate, without the investment. But don't take my word for, Dave Ramsey preaches this religiously on his radio show almost every day.

i wouldn't buy anything, but term insurance. you'd be far better off taking the difference in premiums and investing the money than you would with a 3-5% guaranteed return. the fees with whole life are truly amazing. the guy who sold it to you now probably has a new HD tv.

Are you stashing some money there to try to ride out some volatility while making a bit, or are you actually thinking you might seem some significant gains here? I don't know much about this...but I'm thinking stability play more than $$...how do you see it?
