I've got to get a pulse on this.

I guess i was crazy in thinking that after salvaging a top 10 class after kiffin screwed us, the way he has carried himself and shown confidence and class, and from what I have seen so far done a good job with this young inexperienced team to get them to a point to where they can compete that

DOOLEY WOULDN'T HAVE PEOPLE CALLING FOR HIS HEAD SO SOON.

But after reading the threads all night at work(which is sweet by the way) its obvious that alot of vols fans want Dooley gone. SO LETS VOTE.

"As if anyone here has a say so in who the coach is."

well we the fans due to an extent that is why ole phil got the ax. when the football team doesn't perform tickets sell even less, even though they sell way less anyway because mike hamilton is AD. and will continue to do so until he is fired.

G wiz, It's the second game of a long season.
A lot of football to play.
Don't give up on this team or Coach D yet.
Many on here knew it would be a tough go but my goodness, is this your team or not?
We have talent, just not much depth and experience.
GO VOLS!:clapping:

It's way too early for these people to start calling for Dooley's head! Calm down and give the man time to rebuild. Patience is a virtue!

Well so far it looks like the nation is ready to do that. Thats why i like these polls, its hard to get a gauge sometimes on what people think just reading the post. He deserves at least 3 yrs to get us back to contending for the SEC EAST IMO

You really think people base their decision to come to the ames on who the AD is?

Anyone who thinks he should be fired should be checked out by a doctor. He's coached 2 games. Let him get through a season before you judge him.

my point about hamilton is he raised the ticket prices to fund the tennessee terrace, and he decided to charge students for their tickets as well, all this has caused declining ticket sales including season ticket sales. if people care more about the team and showed up and would quit trying to make loads off money scalping tickets we could fill the stadium alot more. of course fulmer's medicroity while he was coach and hamiltons decision making along with HD TV have made alot more people wanna just stay home and watch us play. which is not what we need at a time like this when we are rebuilding. GO VOLS!!!

This guy needs 3 years, good , bad, disaster, whatever, they need stability. Roster is depleted and you can't make a fair judgment after one game , one season, probably two.

I am a big Dooley fan! He an outstanding individual who will preach all the right virtues you want in a young football player. He is bringing along a very young team, and had a great game plan last night for Oregon. A young line blew open holes repeatedly for Poole and the passes that Simms was asked to throw, were for the most part safe passes of the quick timing nature. In the second half he opened it up a bit, (thought he should have stuck with the run a bit longer) I feel that the Vols are in great hands with Dooley and will surprise many this year!

For the people on this board, and elsewhere, that are calling for Dooley's head. . .I say you don't know what you are talking about! If Dooley's ulitmate record truely indicates he is not an SEC calibre coach, he will be moved in due time. That due time is not after 2 GAMES!! C'mon people

Let's get this straight. The ones that want Dooley gone are not Vol fans, they are IDIOTS. With what Fulmer left the last 3 yrs of his recruiting and Kiffin left and you expect Dooley to win 8 or 9 games with this group. When Kiffin was here he even said year 2 would be rougher because of all the kids we would loose. It will be rough until Dooley gets some more players here. And i believe he will get the job done. I got an idea let all the IDIOTS that want him gone to go root for another team until we get back to where the Vols are suppose to be. With Dooley. We got one of the youngest teams in the SEC. What do you expect.

You probably shouldn't be calling anyone an idiot when you misspell the word "lose". Just saying...

I think we all need to just be patient when it comes to CDD He stepped in to a bad situation and is playing with a very young and inexperienced team. We Competed in the first half and then when we faced adversity our team didnt know how to respond that will come after we get a little experience and depth. Hopefully after that embarrassing loss our team will come out more mentally prepared to face florida, which doesnt have as good of a team as oregon this year (in my opinion) after loosing tebow. We shall see next week if this loss had a positive impact on our team.

Yeah. Let's change coaches every year until we can find one that can beat Florida in his first season with freshman.
We could try Jimmy Jones, Parcells, hey how about Bobby Bowden.
We're rebuilding. Live with it!

Last night was not the measure of what kind of coach that Dooley is....how we come back from a game like last night is the measure of Dooley and the whole staff!

How would you haters like to be handed a bowl of crap and be told to eat in? We are where we are and you hero worshipers of people like Gruden, Brian Kelley, Muschamp and of the rest of the icons would not do any better. The haters are irrational and have agendas other than the success of the program.
