WTF are you talking about. Divided? We want the Vols to win don't we? All you are trying to do is talk down the coach or start something to bash him. There is no division except for the negative nellies trying to start rumors. Get a life already.

Not sure if you completely understood my post.

With the talent depletion we have had, as long as he brings in some good recruiting classes he will get four years to prove himself.
First of all, there is no way to just know he'll bring in good classes. And if we win an average of 5 games a year, I don't see why he gets a 4th year either way.

You make a good point eric.... I know there were some who disliked fulmer and majors during their tenures, but it didn't seem divided like it does now...... some feel beaten down and some disagree about kiffin and now dooley...

For every fan that gets on this forum that B*T*H*S and moans there are 50 who just read, laugh at the goofiness, and never post a word. That's important to remember. Those who post are passionately loyal or passionately pessimistic.

That's why I haven't posted since the Dooley hiring, too many divided opinions and too many different feelings about the team right now. We won't know what we have until we see it, I'm just going to lay back and wait until football season.

Will Tennessee be losing it's right to have a football program if they don't win a certain number of games this year? I'm just trying to understand the anxiety that has consumed so many fans heading into the upcoming season...

I just look at it this way: What we're feeling now is what Bama fans felt for the entire decade before they got Nick Saban.

I don't know what's worse, melting down now, or overreacting so much in a few years that we build a statue of our head coach.

yeah i dont think we are real devided...just worn down. this fanbase has gone through a emotional rollercoast the past 3 seasons. I think we need a upset next year BAD. we have to get some life back into this program or we are screwed. maybe we could pick off oregon and maybe LSU who knows...

Lets be realistic....This is the internet age where anyone CAN go to any board and choose a name and claim to be a fan...many times they're just posers and useless trolls.

Their lives are pathtic and they want everyone else to be just as unhappy as they are and I think we have more of those types on here than we realise.

CDD will get at least 4 years of HIS players that he recruits on the field so this year doesn't count because the 1st CDD recruiting class will be here a year from now.

Unless MH gets fired as AD and CDD is forced to go with him then I think we'll have 5 or 6 years of CDD to give him a fair chance to recruit and coach HIS type of players for his systems and I'm fine with that.

This is NOT the PAC 10 where many weeks should be easy wins...this is the SEC where every week is a tough grind and the next 2 years are really tough so I won't overexpect as much as I want 10 wins minimum.

We decided to make a CHANGE just as our country made a CHANGE and that doesn't always work out the way the hypesters mislead us to believe.

I like what CDD has done so far including shutting out alot of the press so he, the coaches and players can buckle down to business and figure out what we have and the best ways to build this team to have the best chance to win.

I think we're going to be fine in 4 to 5 years and I won't let trolls, posers or negative nellies ruin any of my spirit.

GO BIG ORANGE !!!

We will win again and most of us will be alive to see it...good Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

Dooley will have his day of reckoning as will Mike Hamilton. While I see no reason to disqualify him prematurely, I can't justify being an advocate either. This is a high risk hire and the criticism is legitimate.

i think to call someone a negavol has become too much a badge of honor lately; it's in fashion right now. I think WhinerVol or ToddlerVol would be a more accurate fit given the way they continue to try to out-whine and out-tantrum each other.

Because of the bare cupboard he started with, dooley should get at least 3-4 years to win big.

Let me just say, some of you on here with you optimism. Just stop it, look at Notre Dame football over the past 10 years. Seriously that is where we are headed.

I personally have no bad feeling towards Dooley. He seems to be nice and honest. But honestly does this guy even exist, and if he does, I do not believe it is going to be him who turns this thing around.

****Tennessee is now a forgotten football program in all top high school recruits minds****
