Have you ever actually listened to a Gator fan talk the past ten years? Pot, kettle. /story

If ya don't like it, take yer ball and go home. It's game week so any and all Gators can kiss my ass!

Edit: dang it bearcat, you beat me with the "ball" line.

The only thing that overexcitement for fans can result in is disappointment. If this was applying to the players, I might be a little worried. This group, however, seems to have a good head on their shoulder.

It would be like having an overnight date with your avatar when you haven't been out since 2008.

Lawgator, I'm curious what a FL fan thinks. Is this the worst Gator team of a generation?

(PS - I agree with you. I'm much more tentative about this game than most UT fans here, but I'm excited to see Brodus win it in the fourth from 35!)

I'm sorry but 90% of Gator fans I've met fit this category:

arrogant, cocky, a**holes.

Whether its quiet, deserved, or senseless doesn't really matter to me...what matters is IF we win, I hope it's a curb stomping.

V, B!

I've said the past few years that UT FL will be a good game. We need to take advantage this year. We're on the upswing and Fl is falling blah blah blah.

This year is different for me. Cleats to the throat of the Gators and don't let up. That's how I see this one going. Call it being cocky, call it whatever you want. 7 years of bottled up frustration and this is the breaking point. We throttle the Gators this weekend.

I actually agree with you. Too many times since the 90's have I bought into the BS of Florida sucking only to find my head spinning and thinking wtf?.

Ah, something worth responding to.

I would not classify this as the worst Gator team in a generation, no. I think it lacks a consistent offensive identity, but its getting there. Offensive line is mediocre. No real receiving threat, and a very inconsistent QB.

That said, the offense is improving pretty much from series to series. I expect some gimmickry from the Gators at some point, in a relatively safe situation. Some gambling. Otherwise, for the most part, its going to be a lot of run plays and short passes, not much effort to go deep.

Defensively, the team I think is better than it has shown. Undisciplined? Yes, but tons of talent. We can be competitive on that side of the ball as long as the offense stays on the field some to give the D a bit of rest.

The fact that the game is at 6 pm I think is a significant help to UF. But its there and I think that is enough to push you over the top this year.

Change that "if" to a "when" and we are in 100% agreement.

I appreciate its a Vols fan site, but I've never assumed that to mean people simply posting unabashed, self-promoting, cheers to each other.
