The difference between Pruitt and Smart

That.. and a crap load of talent. Kirby Smart is a good coach but also coaches elite players at all positions. The difference in coaching ability between Smart and Pruitt is minimal, IMO.
Smart had enough quality QBs on the sideline to go 4 deep to find someone who could move the offense. Pruitt is stuck playing JG as the next three in his bench are apparently not ready to do much more than hold a clipboard.

If Kirby was a good coach he would have known Bennett was the man to begin with! This kid can play! He is very accurate and can run! He was the best off. player on the field today!
It took Smart only one half to figure out he needed to change QBs. JP hasn't figured this out since he has been here.

The difference is the talent on the field at literally every position. Quit kidding yourself, if there was a clear better choice they would be out there. Quit being dense.
Pay attention!!! There doesn’t have to be a “clear better choice” in practice to make a change AS SOON AS YOU SEE your guy ain’t got it. Ole Miss started the season with Plumlee. Georgia started the season with Mathis. Neither staff thought their backup was “clearly better” but they gave them a chance. Heck even Mike Leach made a change today to a true freshman and his guy had just beaten the defending champs and thrown for 600 yards. You never know how a guy is going to perform in a game until you put them in a game.

We know JG can’t get it done. Refusing to bench him is insane. We don’t know anything about Bailey and we know very little about the other backups.

Which is true, does JG give us the best chance to win i6t is Pruitt incompetent?

It's not a trick question I have my opinion just want to know where you stand.

Pruitt is stubborn, not incompetent. I think he’s a great coach but he frustrates me on this topic.

Being stubborn is a form of incompetence when you're wrong.
Meh. When I think “incompetent” I think the guy CAN’T get it done. Like he literally doesn’t have what it takes. I think Pruitt does hand what it takes, but he’s not perfect. Nobody is. Everyone makes mistakes. I think Pruitt’s handling of the QB situation is a mistake. Unfortunately, if it is indeed a mistake, it’s a HUGE mistake

Smart is a defensive coach and that defense is lethal, I can't keep counting their regular strength on that side of the ball as dumb luck at this point. People need to face the reality that as long as he is at UGA they are going to be a serious obstacle to us reassuming our rightful place in the conference pecking order. Unfortunately they have upgraded at OC also, which wasn't hard to do because that guy they had last year was worse than Randy Sanders, tonight they look like the best team in the conference. We'll see next week though. That said, I'm not near as disheartened as many on the board, 7-3 or even 8-2 remains a realistic possibility if we get back to playing clean football.

Now this is funny. Both of them are cut from the same cloth. Kirby is just lucky as hell his 4rth choice worked out. Really tho.

At least he tried... knew Mathis would eventually cost him a game so gave the other guy a shot, quickly. And it’s not luck to have QB depth when you sign 2 QB transfers. Smart made finding a QB a priority. It didn’t work out the way he thought it would but it did work out.. he didn’t hedge his bets and when things didn’t go his way he kept searching. I don’t consider that luck

When you can't run the ball in the SEC, you won't win a lot.

Tennessee does not have any 220-225 pound running backs in the starting lineup that can break tackles.

The next game against Kentucky is a must win game.

Kentucky looked terrible tonight. We shouldn’t have any trouble with them

You know that's now how football works. Missouri looked like trash against us, and gave LSU their second loss today.

If we go out there against Kentucky and screw around, and they bring their A-game, we'll lose that game.

This team is fully capable of losing to any team left on the schedule at this point except Vanderbilt.
