That's wrong and you should not have been banned, assuming you violated no content-neutral rules.
Try being at last years game....not to mention the latest "ill prepared event" where we were ,supposedly, "out-athleted", per our illustrious staff. Recolection makes me sick. However, Our Vols have turned the most recent corner, and we re ALL 100% behind them. We love 'ya Gator.....but we love the VOLS more. MaintainingI was on Gator COuntry earlier today, "trying" to discuss the LSU/Tebow cell phone issue.
I made the statement that if the roles were reversed, and an LSU players number got out, UF fans (albeit really sorry excuses for fans) would call said LSU player as well.
They then deleted the entire thread.
You people are ridiculous homers with a sense of entitlement that sickens me.
Yep.....Hope springs eternal among the REALISTS, but, I, as much as I wish, have been conditioned to wonder if we can meet the expectations created after ONE great win. Hopefully we will. Bet on it... due to the let-downs, would be stupid. Gators EXPECT to win.....we hope to....that is the difference. Hopefully we will "work like heck" to keep you guys looking up at us in the standings.
I know lawgator pretty well so I can speak on this. Do I think his puts us down a little with posts that appear to be on the level YES! I have sat with him many times and talked sports and he is very knowledgeable.
He is very pro Gator though and that is ok with me. I do see how some of the things he posts puts off Vol fans.
Overall picture- Great guy to watch sports with. Great guy to have a beer with and he buys you lots of drinks also. Everyone here would enjoy his company if we were at a game or anywhere else so he is ok with me.
the difference between UF fans and UT fans always made me think of the difference between monied people from Brentwood vs Belle Meade...new money vs old money. Class/refinement is not something that can be purchased, it generally only comes over time, as you become acustomed to the finer things. Having been to Gainesville in the early 90's I have seen them at their worst. Maybe as they continue to win over an extended period of time they'll learn how to act with grace, of course that's asking alot of people born and raised in North Florida.
Love Steely Dan..My husband and I had a 4 star restaurant in New York City in the mid to late 90's, named Aja....It was on the corner of Broadway and 22nd, behind the Flat Iron building...
I've been reading a lot on here over the last few weeks and even the last few days about the state of the program at UT, the new found optimism after the impressive win against UGA, whether people are too pro or anti Fulmer, are you a real fan if you root for the team no matter what, are you a real fan if you criticize despite your loyalty etc.
What gets me time and time again is the reference to the 1998 national championship. This is the difference between Florida fans and UT fans. Even when skies were darkest at Florida in 2001, 2002, 2003, you did not see Florida fans looking back to the 1996 team as a justification for the way things are. To the contrary, we pointed to the 1996 team as proof of the way that things should be.
Why am I not seeing that here with regard to UT 1998? Why is the '98 team proof that everything is okay when it ought to be proof that things are the opposite of okay?
To those saying I am the only one in the crowd when they are on tour, you might want to go check on that a little bit. For the show here in Orlando earlier this year, tickets went on sale 6 months before the show and it sold out in less than 20 minutes.
