Why would I fear a Cruz or DeSantis? I'm 100% for a debate on the issues without the divisive hate fueled approach of Trump.

This started by me commenting about being at a bluegrass festival yesterday where silly Trump/anti Biden attire outnumbered masks at least 20 to 1.
So it's those morons who are Trump Trump Trump. And the nuts still commenting on masks are the ones who need to move on.

It's understandable why so many would be upset after Biden's snake oil salesman like job performance in the first 16 months leaving Bidentitis over the country.

He epitomizes the top of the food chain dirtbag's that come out of Washington.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden appeared to confuse the Title 42 border policy with the federal government's mask mandate for public transit Thursday, prompting the White House to issue a statement to clarify his position.

Biden was asked by a reporter whether he's considering a delay on rescinding the Trump-era Title 42, which allows U.S. border agents to expel asylum seekers to Mexico in the name of stopping the spread of coronavirus.

But Biden answered as if he were asked about the mask mandate for planes and public transit, which a federal judge in Florida this week struck down.

"No, what I'm considering is continuing to hear from my – first of all, there's going to be an appeal by the Justice Department," Biden said after remarks he gave in the White House on the war in Ukraine.

I'm not sure why some of our self-avowed lovers of individual liberties get so Karen-ish about when and wear people choose to wear a mask.

I've had some seasonal sinus and cold issues this past week so I chose to wear a mask when I was out. I do think it's strange seeing people driving by themselves with a mask on like the outside air is going to give them covid.

Northeast GA (the bluegrass festival was in Dahlonega) is about as red and pro-Trump as it gets.
I can go 30 miles north east and be in Trump land or 30 miles south and be in downtown Atl. I live in the strip that divides the two.

But I agree, I may see more masks than I realize, but it just doesn't register with me.

I remember when Dahlonega was a wide spot on the side of the road. It's crazy how much these mountain towns have grown

The unfortunate thing is that now people have been forced to realize that the top of the food chain dirt bag coming out of Washington is still better that some alternatives. Trump set the "alternative" movement back immeasurably.

And what was considered extreme and hateful in 2000 was the position of 85% of the population in 1975. What was considered extreme and hateful in 1975 was the position of 85% of the population in 1950.
It's just the way progress works. The rate of societal progress often much faster than many individual's progress.
I do think the digital age and social media has increased the expected rate of progress in the minds of many.
And that expected rate of change is probably a little unrealistic. The extreme on the left should probably recalibrate their expectations and realize attempting to change to quickly may very well ultimately slow down the rate.

If a business imposes such a mandate and I need/want to do business with them I’ll comply. If they state they are optional but requested then they need to shut their pie holes when I decline to comply with their request.
