The definition of insanity: Repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome. For Seven years we have told ourselves that this is the year that the square wheel rolls and again when it doesn't, we scratch our head and wonder why? The Emperor is not wearing any clothes and the loyaties that are holding up the blanket so that no one can see the nakedness must be held accountable, less the insanity continues and the program suffers irrepairable harm. Is the loyalty to one or two worth the health of an entire program. Everything rises and falls on leadership and leadership must be held accountable and with a 60 million dollar athletic budget there is no excuse for us to fall below the depths of common sense to the depths of insanity, especially when we are suppose to represent an institution of Higher Learning. We are truly the Beverly Hillbillies, all bucks and no brains! and we wonder why ESPN and the rest of the nation never gives us any respect! I can respect a program that does all it can to be the best and still fails, I cannot respect stupidity and disloyalty to the greater Tenneessee Community for the sake of prospering ineffective cronies. Tennesseans are proud people. We are the Volunteers! We are trailblazers and yes we are loyal and we give even to a fault, but we are not stupid and those in leadership should not be taking advantage of us like we are. Either lead or get out of the way. nothing irritates us more than to be led around the mountain when the gap is right there before our eyes!

Sounds good.  I assume you are talking about Sanders?  I am not quite ready to give up on Phil.

The offense is Fulmer's. Randy runs it the way Phil wants it run, and his selection of plays is dictated by Phil's philosophy (just as he said on the PF show yesterday).

I don't understand basing the philosophy off of what the defense gives them. If that's the case, how can you even have a solid gameplan on offense?

I'm disappointed will Phil and not just with the play calling. As an ex-offensive lineman I expected him to really develop some of the best offensive lines we have ever had. Instead they a major problem on this team. On D-line has their act together and have for several years, but our O-line has never measured up to what you should expect from ex-offensive lineman head coach. When Majors was here, he took responiblity for the special teams, and they usually were very good. Since Fulmer has been the head man, they have routinely slid untl now they are embaressing. Chavis is an ex defensive lineman and no one questions how good our D-line has been the last few years. They have been dominant.

You can't blame one without the other. Omission is worse than commission when you know the truth. If you don't know the truth you have no business being the HC...Lets face it, what have we done since Cutcliff left. The defense and Chavis have carried us every year. Cutcliff got us our National Championship and we rode that wave to the beach. The only thing that will raise this whale is a rising TIDE and it's ROLLING!

IF Coach Fulmer DOES control the offensive play-calling, then Randy Sanders is a boob for taking the heat all these years and not standing up for himself. NO job is worth being ridiculed unfairly.

Looking back it appears that Cut was the difference. Year after year I listened to the excuses which seemed plausable at the time as I am not one to take off my orange colored glasses. But after 7 years of the same offensive woes it has becomes quite obvious. IMO Fulmer is a recruiter with a penchant for cronyism towards the "Yes" men and has no real appreciation for change, and is most fond of stability. A decent man who hates having to make the hard decision whether it's discipining an athlete or letting a loyal coach go. He obviously does not want to face the work and disruption to the organization that it would take to overhaul the program. Too many years of riding the comfort of his forte- recruiting. When Cut left he didn't want to face the head ache of the disruption a new OC from the outside would cause and thought he could make it with Randy who he thought could maintain Cut's offense. But the loss of Cut took years to erode the program because of the good athletes coming in and now we see what Cut really meant to the program. Randy is a good assitant, but it does not appear that he can stand on his own and now the hard decision is even harder because Fulmer has created the monster and he cannot fix it without someone getting hurt. I believe he can fix it. But if he doesn't someone will fix it for him.
