They have been fairly quiet about what’s going on. I suspect it’s medical related, because this past spring and winter, Dave was definitely on meds for some shows. While struggling against side effects while live, Dave attempted to explain it once and Caleb cut him off (presumably to Dave’s prior wishes). I also think the cushioned chair has to do with what’s going on with Dave.

If it’s not medical related, I’ll be surprised. I hate speculating about it openly because Dave obviously wants to keep it private. Still, I am as concerned as the next listener.

I remember watching a few of his shows months ago thinking that Dave did not look in good shape. Hopefully, he gets well soon.

It’s a very good show for die hard fans. It’s not about releasing breaking stories. It’s the only show where sports writers will banter with the audience in real time, which is such a relief in this day and age of talking heads.

Caleb has done a tremendous job of keeping it going, but the show needs two hosts to accommodate the real time dialogue that I love so much.

You can google Harold Davis Hooker and find the records. He got popped by Chattanooga PD in February and then booked again in late July. Can’t remember if that was in Knox or not

He is in rehab. Had unexpected family situation back in the winter. Was arrested in Chattanooga for DUI in February, got that one taken care of. Then was arrested for another suspected DUI in Knox County a couple of months ago, then went to rehab in July after an issue with his family. Checked himself out of rehab a couple of weeks ago and picked up another DUI the same day. It’s a sad deal. There are a lot of people in his corner, but he needs help.

Wow. That's really unfortunate. I hate that for both him and his family. I have a sister who has struggled with alcoholism most of her life and Ive seen first-hand what it can do to people.

I really hate to hear that. Hopefully this is his rock bottom and he fights his way back to sobriety.

I simply don't understand especially in the age of Uber why anyone would get drunk in get behind the wheel. I've lost 4 family members and 3 friends over the years to drunk drivers.

I've also enjoyed more than my fair share of alcohol and I've never gotten behind the wheel drunk or even buzzed. It's such a reckless, selfless act
