I noticed Sanchez is on the front for USC. I am not so sure why his is getting so much hype either. He was recruited the same year as Crompton. He was #1 and Crompton #2. He got some playing time last year behind Booty but not that much. That is when USC struggled when Sanchez was filling in. They say Crompton is unproven, I think Sanchez is too. Plus Sanchez has been in trouble with off the field issues, at least Crompton hasn't.

I think some of the "curse" and predictions of Georgia's eminent doom is wishful and hopeful thinking. The team is very good. It is less absurd to predict great things for them than to predict a national title for Tennessee. Anything is possible. Georgia might very well live up to the hype.
'dirty' has a very respectable chance of playing for the national title come January. Crompton has much less chance.I noticed Sanchez is on the front for USC. UGA has a very good D. They return alot of guys from a "good" defense. You can't label them "great" yet.
On O, I see alot of potential problems being glossed over. They lost two SR OL's and replace them with Sophs. Those Sophs are replaced in the depth chart by Fr. That is NOT the makings of a dominant OL. They might be. The talent is there. But to predict a group with that youth will dominate in the SEC is wishful thinking.
Stafford has proven himself to be nothing but pedestrian to this point.
Moreno is good but his backups are now guys who've never played college football instead of Brown and Lumpkin... guys who'd taken turns leading the team in rushing for a season.
The WR's may be a surprise... but Massaquoi has never been impressive. Bailey and Henderson are gone. Bailey was their leading WR and played his best against the SEC and teams with a winning record. Massaquoi's caught half as many per game against the SEC as against non-SEC foes.
Couple the offensive ? with their lack of discipline and apparent lack of player leadership... and I think you've got a disappointment brewing.
FWIW, I'm not an UGA hater and have a lot of admiration for Richt... I just don't think they're as good as their hype. I'll be surprised if they aren't a two loss team by the time they play UT... and will give UT a bad time in their effort to save their season.
