I'd be more likely to believe SURGE is the cause of Tennessee's woes. I know when I was a kid and drank it I felt like running through a brick wall.

Is this a new rule? I thought they use to show the replays. Sorry for my ignorance.

I'm not really sure when it became a rule to be honest. Of course instant replay itself hasn't been around that long.

As I understand it they can't show the replay of it after it has been challenged. So of course they can show a replay quickly before it has been challenged by the coach.

It is rather frustrating not getting to see the play though while you're sitting around waiting though and one of the only real disadvantages to being at the game I think.

I'm not disagreeing since I really don't know the rule but aren't all plays reviewed? That was my understanding. And if they aren't allowed to show the replays after a coach has officially challenged a call that would affect very few plays. I can only remember one challenge in our first three games. Although admittedly I could have missed some due to heavy pre-game tailgating and being distracted while on the lookout for the texting police after cheering loudly after big plays.

I've always disliked the name "JumboTron" - it sounds super dated to me. Sounds like what they would have called a big TV in the 70's. If anything, rename the thing.

You're right of course about all plays being reviewed, I just meant the ones that require play to be stopped to review further. And yes, that rule does affect very few plays. I was respong to an earlier post about them showing replays of plays that are being challenged.

Overall I would agree with the sentiment here they could probably do a better job of showing replays on the jumbotron, especially if they would utilize the whole screen more often, which seemed to be the reason they expanded it last year.

-June 12 – Texas Governor George W. Bush announces he will seek the Republican Party nomination for President of the United States.

-August 11 – A total solar eclipse is seen in Europe and Asia.

Take your pick

Guy's i blame Blob Kesling. It's been going down hill ever since.

Winner!

I also blame the trend toward reducing seating capacity at Neyland. As the capacity went up, so did our football fortunes. As soon as we started downsizing so did the win totals. Look at Bama right now.... Bryant Denny is growing every year in seating capacity and you see how it has paid off in the win column....
