Well, I don't know if it is or not. But dammit, I was mad at em, disgusted, they fought their a**es off and pulled it out. Lets fill up the best stadium in the country in a couple weeks, win 2 more and go bowling.

The Rohan Davey curse is finally over!!!! If we win out and get seven wins I will believe the curse is over and the worst is behind us.

Nope. We've had 7 in the time since the curse was first placed on us.

This would be one more win than his jersey number at LSU.

I don't know that we break the curse until we beat Sabs unexpectedly for the conference title.

True, but those were on our way down, this seven win season will signal a turn of the corner. It will be us going back up after hitting the bottom and staying there for several years.

This may be true. Saban and Davey put that damn curse on our program that horrible December night in 2001.

I feel partly responsible. I was there and had my hat lined with roses. I was warned not to but I didn't think it was possible for us to lose that game.

Stevens & Stallworth fumbling, and us missing those three easy passes right before the half (two to Stallworth & 1 to KW, any of which would have been scores) were the main reasons we lost. Not some mythical curse.
The main problem we had was dumping Fulmer like we did. Respectable coaches wouldn't touch this job after that disloyal display. Kiffin was the result of that folly. Which of course led to Dooley.

No curse @ all. Just 3 consecutive, and extremely costly poor decisions.

Maybe we should start a thread on this as I don!t believe it's been discussed before

We're 4-5, and you think were back to where we were 10 years ago after one big win?

Fulmer should have been fired. He was not far from even more losses. Florida was lightyears ahead with Urb, Bama was the same with Saban. Miles was on his way past Phil. Maybe Phil would have kept the streak vs Kentucky alive, but not much else.

Get over it.

The decision to fire Phil was sound, as was the decision to bring in Kiffin. It just didn't work out because he went to uscw and ended up sucking.

Dooley was the death hammer. Hamilton took the most important decision at UT in our lifetime and hiked his leg on it.

I think it would be interesting to read how you arrived at the conclusion that any of the above was a "sound" decision in light of the results.
