I can hear Fulmer now..."Given the fact that I like peanut butter, I am working like heck to preserve the fondness of such a great staple in American History. Like the University of Tennessee, Peanut Butter has a long standing tradition of entertaining it's supporters. Like our team, it sticks together, even when covered with jelly. Much like our team plays like the football is covered in jelly, it's important that I be the peanut butter that holds our team and University together. Therefore, Jiffy, Peter Pan,Skippy and I will retire to the associate AD position and work like heck to get the Bama, Smuckers, and Welches removed from our program."

And you've been reported to the Jelly Roll Morton fan club!!!

Would show a blatant disrespect of the coaching profession that we would have to live with for a long time, for starters.

A subtle reference to Damocles??? That was Syracuse, right color, wrong school.

He has marmalade on his wicket and he can stick it.

gsvol, cmon. This isnt Pee-Wee Football...im not out here to make sure coaches feel good about their fans, their job security etc... As Mike Gundy said...ITS DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL!!! We deserve better, get his ass out of here and lets move on.

Dan Hawkins said that. Mike Gundy is a man though, and he's 40!

You seem to have a knack for making my day.

Hear about the guy who kept having the same dream and so went to the shrink and said; doc, I keep having a dream where I wake up in a tepee and the doc said no problem, you're just an intense person.

But he went back a couple of weeks later and told the shrink; doc, now I'm dreaming I wake up in a tepee and then go out and walk over to a wigwam and go back to sleep again.

The shrink said that's bad, I'm writing you a prescription.

Well how is the second dream worse that the first doc, I don't see the difference??

The shrink said the last dream means you're too tense, and that ain't good.

what will it take fulmer to pull a lloyd carr and announce retirement. he could go out with his dignity and our respect, and we could start looking for a new coach so he could get a jumpstart on recruiting so that we dont lose to much time on that?

underachieving Michigan teams over the last several years and Fulmer and the Vols is UNCANNY. Both old-school guys in a new-school world; both had early success followed by a signficant falloff. Carr at least was sensible enough to retire on his own terms and the break was clean. Fulmer, stubborn and dense, probably won't.

gsvol...I have been on here about two years and you have been here about a month, yet we both have about 750 post. Are you unemployed?

It'll hold two slices of bread together better than most any thing you can think of. That Phil sure knows his vittles huh?? I'll pass along your compliment, thanks.

How to you too paleface.

Fire Fulmer, hire Muschamp.

So where is you cyber site, in the cyber space between your ears???

Is he related to Roger de Muscamp who was the holder of the estate Willoughby in the north of England after the battle of Hastings in 1066???? (Gee, that reminds me, the 942nd celebration of that event is coming up less than two weeks from now. Thanks)

My Taco Bell phone just rang and guess who twas on the other end????

Don't fire Phil. There would be thousands of dougnut employees that would get laid off all over Knoxville.

No serioiusly, he got us to the SEC championship game last year he needs more time. There is no way he will lose to Florida, Georiga, Bama, Auburn, Vandy, Kentucky, Ole Miss and South Caronlina... is there?

Fulmer has been never been one to back stabb anyone or has he ever tried to make himself look better by putting someone else down. It's just not the way he operates.. so let's not do it to him.

Go Vols... Save Fulmer
