Doesn't get much worse than listening to Skip. Unfortunately, we also had to listen to Jemele and she IS the worst.

What a couple of knuckleheads. It's ironic that they talk about Bruce Pearl needing to be fired when most people who watch ESPN think they should be fired. :crossfingers:

Wouldn't expect any other perspective from Skip. Although hearing the allegations vs reading them, does kinda open my eyes a little. I am a BP fan and love what he has done with our BB program and still think these violations goes on all over college sports but If this is proven true, Bruce and Hamilton are both gone IMO.

at all! It's easy to follow the rules when you don't have the passion or capability to bring in great players. That's not to say that I condone breaking the rules--Pearl crossed the line and will pay for it---but it is well established that if you aren't aggressive and push up against the boundaries, you will not get great players.

What ANNOYS me is that Cal or one of his henchmen cheated blatantly to bring Derick Rose to Memphis--had someone else take his test! And neither Memphis or Calipari was punished, were they? Pearl has an illegal cookout (and lied about it) and is being treated as if he were sending cash through the mail.

I'm not a "Bruce is UT basketball" guy, but I'm a Bruce supporter. Like it or not, lying to recruits, parents, NCAA ect.. is part of being a coach at a major college these days. If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.

Could Tennessee hire a decent coach? You bet, but is it in the best interest of the program? I don't think so IMO.

I'm curious as well, I think Cowherd is a BP fan. Will be interesting to hear what his opinion is, along with a lot of ESPN analyst. Most of them like Bruce.

Can someone explain something to me. If Pearl gets the 2 year "show cause" and UT chooses not to fire him, does he have to sit out 2 years? Or is that only come into effect if Pearl is fired by UT? Sorry in advance if someone has already asked.

Recent history with unethical conduct charges suggests he will be banned for at least 2 years, and possibly longer.
