Having a conversation with my dad about it now.

The reactions from both sides are depressing.

I liked Charlie, not that it matters, but Im saddened by this from that perspective. Also saddened for the obvious reasons.

Dad probably has the best take on it, but I disagree. I believe this Nation is worse off than he does.

I never had the first thought about this happening, but the reaction so far has been more polarizing than I could have ever believed. We're in bad shape.

Some Democrats have consistently called for bans on certain guns, magazines, bump stocks, et al. Some have not supported bans as being effective and have supported background checks, waiting periods, and licensing for certain firearms. A few say that the genie can’t be put back in the bottle - Americans own guns, focus on responsibility. They’re a big tent party.
