What’s the fish they use…..Tilapia, maybe?

Those are bay scallops in that dish.

I'm not familiar with replacing scallops with fish, especially bay scallops, but stingray or skate is used often for sea scallops.

When you go to Olive Garden with your grandson and his family and order the seafood Alfredo because the menu says it has scallops in it and you haven’t had any scallops in a while but it didn’t mention they were miniature scallops.

Sea scallops are what you're calling real scallops. Its a marketing tool to just say scallops, in your case it worked. Lol.

That said, some prefer bay scallops. I love me some good bay scallops, but they have to be good ones and cooked right...just like the real ones.
