@Behr and others:

I’m adapting a recipe that calls for boneless chicken breasts; using bone-in thighs instead.

After browning the breasts (both sides) in an oven-safe skillet, the recipe calls for 15 minutes in the oven. Skillet will also include sliced Italian sausage, chopped mushrooms, and sliced red onion, but no appreciable amount of liquid, other than from the chicken and sausage.

What’s a reasonable guess at the amount of time needed for bone-in thighs, already browned, instead? And is 400 still the right temp? I’ll be using a cast-iron skillet. thanks

Do you have an oven safe thermometer?
I have one of those lollipop guys.

Did you make sure and sandblast your cast iron and then run it through 6 cycles in the dishwasher before using?

No, but I left it outside in the deluge last Tuesday and Wednesday, and it’s picked up some nice color!

Prayers for him and his family.

This virus thing is an uneasy feeling when it hits close to home. All I can do is pray for all those families that have lost someone due to it and keep on keeping on with life. But when it starts sneaking in to my hoola hoop, I pay closer attention. Still not much I can do except thank the good Lord me and those close to me haven't had to deal with it.
My son's football team is ate up with covid they had to shutdown till next week 18 players got it my son was sick and ran a fever and he tested negative he was still running a fever 4 days later and throat hurt so took him back to the doctor and no strep throat they said they could test him again but they thought it was the rhino virus his teammate in the locker to left and right of him have covid and his work out partner had covid. It's worse this year than it was last year and they outlawed home school.

Kids are more affected with this variant from what I've read

If that’s what it is. I think a lot of places are saying everything is COVID and I’ve heard there isn’t a test readily available that can determine the variant.

A lab in my area seems to know which variant it is , I only can guess that its kids because of the school mask mandate in Illinois and that is the only place the idiot governor has made masks mandatory so far

They probably don’t generally test for the variant on most cases at this point. They tracked the spread of Delta beginning in May, I think, and realized that most Covid would be due to Delta by mid-to-late summer. So they just test for Covid and figure it’s Delta if test is positive. It doesn’t seem to matter for the actual treatment.

Pretty sure they do keep testing to some degree, of course, to be aware when the next variant hits.
