Ya, I actually emailed @Freak to let you back on.
And how do you “snitch” when there are mods reading what you post.
Do you think it’s some sort of honor to be a dick on a message board? There are 100 threads to choose from. If people are trying to entertain themselves by playing within certain rules in certain threads it doesn’t make you cool to screw things up. And it also doesn’t make you cool to chase other people away.
STFU and GTFO.

You’re an idiot if you think they are not watching.
Let me let you in on a secret about that alter thing.
There are not any. They can tell when people are posting from multiple accounts. That’s why when certain people try to come back they get banned pretty quickly. I know this because I posted on behalf of The Ron Mexico when he was out of the country and immediately got an email about it from the mods.
I personally don’t care if the Mods watch or not. I’m pretty good at staying inside the rules and always have been. So feel free to report any of my posts. If you’re worried about someone “Snitching” on an anonymous message board and you’re older than 14 years old then you have real issues

Wait...hold up....

You impersonated @The Ron Mexico ?

You suck as a human being.

We always used IP addresses to identify alts. But we could usually detect them first due to similar tones and, ummm, obsessions. (Happily retired moderator from other large forum.)

you had to have reason/desire to look up IPs though correct? You didn’t have some sort of monitor that automatically saw it.
Not back then. This was more than a decade ago. We were on a Lithium platform.

I’m quite sure that there is now a moderation tool that displays usernames and IP addresses for each new post, if a site admin wanted to pay. Technology marches on.

Interesting. Thanks

Interesting. Thanks
And I should have added, personal VPNs weren’t in as much use then.

We didn’t have much of an alt problem. It was more for spam cleanup. But alts can be a PITA simply because few posters who generally post positive, supportive posts (of other users) tend to create alts. It’s usually the more “frisky” ones.

I've always thought as much as I post from different places, that it'd look funny🤣. Some times I'm on WiFi, some times I'm not. I just don't understand all the IP stuff.

Not really.
Rocy, I say this in love and respect: read my post again. You don’t know the forum I was on. You don’t know what I did as a moderator. What I wrote was a statement of fact.

Obviously you believe that things are done differently here; I have no idea if that’s so. But I don’t call you a liar. Please don’t call me one.
