The Culinary Arts Thread

Okay, I looked at all 3, Merrell, Lowa and Reebok 6" with the zipper. I really like all 3 and they all seem to have great reviews from what I could see. The choice for me would come down to the Reebok for two reasons. I already have a pair and love them, and they are the least expensive of the 3.

All nice boots imo.

Not at all & the 3 Zephyr's I have are Gore-tex. Non Gore-tex would be lighter. With size 13's, the last thing I want is a heavy boot. The Renegade is heavier that the Zephyr
So my next question: the ones you showed, are they 670-1 compliant? And now everyone else is fawkin lost

670-1 is Army uniform standards. The mid height boots like Sunset originally described don’t meet standards. They make a more hi top version that does meet the standard, but are even slightly heavier. Remember, I’m a recruiter. I’m not doing a lot of hooah hooah stuff like Yankee, or even TRM for that matter. I’m walking around. Even in my real, regular Army job I’m not doing a lot of hooah hooah big boy Army things. I want boots comfortable to walk around in.

Seriously. I want a new pair of shoes that are comfortable to walk in and I'm being very indecisive. Been looking for 2 months and can't make up my mind. A pair of Under Armour are what I'm wearing now and they're fine, but I'd love to have something better.
