The Culinary Arts Thread

My only credit card debt is work related that my procrastinating ass doesn’t submit.
I use cc’s for everything, have not paid a penny in interest in years (and only then because I spaced on the calendar), get hundreds back in rewards dollars, and have FICOs in the 800s.

Credit is like a chainsaw: a great tool if you’re careful with it.

Waited until the basketball game was over before going to get takeout. As soon as I walked outside another storm was coming through.

I’m hungry dammit.

Delivery, that’s what I would go to...or just cook something out of ingredients that are about to be out of date, call it goulash.

Just threw away a can of Vienna sausages that expired last week. How in the heck did they ever not get eaten a year or so ago??

Lol, Cleaning the pantry at mom and dads lake house. Good lord, some of the stuff had changed branding twice since it was bought
When I was cleaning out my mom’s house, I was horrified at some of the dates. I had figured that I would donate most food in cans and cartons to a food pantry, but it went into the trash.

I sometimes wonder how my mother made it in her home for as long as she did (age 91 when The Big Fall happened.)

The microwave fire was pretty spectacular. She called me to ask how to turn off that thing that made the loud noise (the smoke alarm.) The flames from the microwave did not seem to be a prob.

Gotta love moms. Prob in a calm voice too.
