Tonight I got to sit in my apartment and cook my own meal, including finishing my infamous six day cooked baked potato. I was too busy watching the news to make it look pretty. Tonight there are thousands of troops who don’t get this freedom. Tonight some of them faced a reality many of you will never know nor understand. Some of the social media and VN posts I’ve seen the past week have been gross, uninformed, and thoughtless. This isn’t fun, it’s not the norm, and it’s not something military members look forward to. It’s just a nightmare. Be thankful for your freedoms and be in prayer for those out there making sure you have those freedoms.
