If I may cereal for a moment tho, I know a few Soldiers that like the Reebok boots, we just can't wear the side zipper kind in the Army. I wear a pair by a company called Tactical Research (I think it's a sub group of Belleville). They're getting harder and harder to find though. Might have to switch soon.

Why can't you wear the side zipper boots in the Army? Just curious.

I can give you a TL/DR answer, but basically regs don't think the zipper will hold up to the "demands" of the environment and requirements of a Soldier. I get it for infantrymen and whatnot, but I walk around an office all day. I'm in boots just because really.

yeah, it's mostly because of the Army's (to include me) inferiority complex with how well the Air Force has it. It's widely believed throughout the DoD that no one spoils their people more than the Air Force.

I figured it was something like that.

These were ordered for me by the First Responders group I'm a Volunteer for. I just gave them my size. I wasn't expecting anything like this, I guess that's why I've made such a big deal over them. Lol, the side zip is the most awesome thing ever!! Call me gay Idgaf. :)

These are what I wear. They're called Mini Mil Transition or something like that. Great for walking around an office, standing most of the day, stuff like that. Extremely light weight. I have a different pair for rucking, doing real Soldier type stuff. For everyone that likes the idea of Behr's pair, look up patriot outfitters. Theres a s**t ton of options and brands out there. Good luck getting them bishes fo free like ol Behr though.
