A man bought a small farm on the Tennessee/Alabama border but soon found that his cattle were being killed by wolves. He set traps to alleviate the problem. Soon, he called the Alabama Department of Wildlife Resources and told them that he had caught a "Crimson Tide wolf" in one of his traps.
The game warden who answered the phone said, "How in the world can you be sure that it is a Crimson Tide wolf?"
The farmer replied, "Because it's already chewed off three of its legs and is still trapped."
