I remember as a kid watching Holloway's Toronto Argonauts play the Warren Moon led Edmonton Eskimos for the Grey Cup in the CFL on ESPN. Moon and the Eskimos won the Cup that day but the following season Holloway and the Argonauts won the Cup by defeating the BC Lions. Yes, i was a fan of the CFL in those days.

I was very young when he played here, but about the only memory I have is one game he got injured in and had to leave the game. After this, we got behind and were losing, pretty badly if I remember correctly. Anyway, sometime during the second half of the game, he came running out of the locker room onto the field. The crowd went crazy. He went back in the game, and we ended up winning.:clapping:

From the comments under the Youtube video:

"Condredge flattened #50 All American Randy Rhino of Georgia Tech on that run."

Which is kind of true in that Rhino was a defensive back that Holloway had passed, and you can see Rhino dive at him but not catch him. (Not exactly flattened)

Rhino was a consensus AA in 73, but that GaTech team was 5-6 and only held three teams under 20 points (UGA, Army, and Duke).

So... at least one of those defenders was legit.

They made a historic movie about LSU a few years back called The Color Purple. There's a great love scene that shows Oprah takin' a leak.

I looked and can't find a recording of the Ballad of Condredge Holloway which I remember which was apparently called "Go Holloway." Anybody got a link?
