The Collision. Who won?

Well regardless of your talking in general or specifically about the vols, it is still a fatuous comment.

Couldnt have said it better myself! Why is it that everytime Tebow is "pumping" up his team it looks like he is having an epileptic ceaser? Yea the kid can play but he is nothing more than a fullback that can throw the ball.

Yesterday, I didn't see a lot of his teammates making eye contact with him during his seizure. There was a lot of distant stares and people looking the other direction. During that situation if people are really buying into it you see a lot of nods and people hopping and responding to the words. I think the team is tuning that crap out. I used to notice similar responses to Ray Lewis' antics prior to Ravens games.

What struck me about that play, and a number of others, was that both players are the marquise guys on their teams, and for once, they both showed up and took charge. That's why IMO college football will always be better than the NFL.

I believe Tebow saw Gabriel when EB laid the smackdown on him. If it had not been the momentum of the players pursuing the play Tebow was going down where EB planted him.

True dat.

We needed big play from Eric to have a puncher's chance and we got it.

You needed Teabow to step up to win the game and you got it.

The collision was just spectacular. Clash of the Titans. It didn't get much better than that.

A draw, just as it should be, that was 2 fine and fearless football players that saw the chance to meet head on and neither shied away from the challenge. As a VOL fan, I was hoping EB would knock Tebow up into the cheap seats, as a college football fan you have to respect the guts and ability of both of those warriors.

He got 0 yards after the collision. There is no argument to be made that either won. TT did his job and EB did his.

Tebow won it imo because Berry did go backwards clearly and not from the other guys anyone who thinks it was the others pushing Tebow needs to put the drink down. Berry is a stud but he even admitted himself he lost that one. I dont think there is anyone in college right now past the DL that going one on one would push Tebow back, hes just too big and look at how low he gets his pads for his size. Hate him all you want hes a baller and I am glad we will never see him again.

Tebow is a heck of a person and great football player, I would love the guy if he was in Tennessee Orange. That being said, he's a Florida gator and I hate him. So that right there is a default win for EB.

If I was looking at the evidence, I would have to say that it was a huge hit for both of them. The stuff that myths and legends are made of but EB jumped right back up and was ready for round two, Timmy Teblow came up shaking his head and babying his left side. That is all the proof I need that EB won regardless of who went forward, backward or fell to the side.

EB won either way imo

Tebow fell forward, he won that collision regardless how hard Berry hit him. Berry got the best of him on many other plays though.
Tebow only fell forward because hughes and another lineman hit him in the back right after the hit. If you watch it in slow motion, when berry and him collide, they both start backwards at the same speed. It was at worst a draw but honestly i think Berry got tebow more than tebow got him.

The slow motion tells the story. You can see the shock waves go through both guys. KNOCK HIS TOOTH OUT EB!!!!

Well they will get a chance to break the draw in the next level! Oh wait, Tebow will not make a team! Sorry my bad.

I'm glad Tebow didn't have a broke neck. His head hit Berry's shoulderpad square on.

It was a draw but it was one of the few times I've seen Tebow trying to clear cobwebs.

Simply put, an amazing hit. Will stick out as one of the best collisions of the year and one of the best I have EVER seen. You can't say which warrior got the better end of that one. It was simply an epic collision all around. An earlier poster said you won't find many DB's in the country who go at TT higher than his ankles and that is exactly right. That is what college football is all about and why I prefer it 100 to 1 over the NFL. A good hit in the NFL and ego takes over...stupid celebrations for doing what you are expected to do. After this hit, both guys got up and went about business as usual. It gave(and still gives) me goosebumps watching it.

WTF?!?! EB NEVER said he lost that one...he said after seeing it on the JumboTRON that is was just a great collision. Come on, now.

Go back and watch in slow motion...the impact knocked both players backwards. You can see tebow about to fall on his keyster, when Montori Hughes hit's him from the opposite side a split second later. That's what prevented an NFL draft and Berry Heisman shot, where Berry knocks Tebow on his duff while he still maintains his balance.

Watch it again.

Coaches harp over and over NOT to lead with your head down. What does Mr. Tough guy do? Exactly what the coaches preach not to. He was begging for a spinal injury on that play...but he believes his own press. We'll see how he holds up after going through LSU, Georgia, FSU and such.
I think he's due for a big injury, trying to be the tough guy.

He may be a pretty big boy, but so are most of the 11 others he tries to ram into.

I think that's something the commentator was alluding to as well.
We've all seen it and it's getting old. I always thought he was auditioning for the Chester Cheese role in a commercial or something. You will never see someone eat cheese harder than he will the rest of the season. :)
