It's not one dude... there's a network of Coug alumns that pass the flag around.

Ok, they probably don't pass a single flag around in reality, but you know what I mean.

I was thinking that maybe it's the best mascot in all of sports. Is there any mascot that's as "equally" entertaining and cool as Oregon's in like NFL, NBA, or MLB?

At the risk of spilling state secrets. The guy in the Duck suit (one of them anyways, there are 3) was a year behind me in my fraternity. Most energetic guy I met in college. I know several people who guessed he was the mascot just based off his energy level and personality (amongst other observations.)

So does Oregon only use current students for the mascots or do they allow alums too? (Assuming it's only those who are or have attended Oregon.)

Are the 3 mascots for the games or mainly for the different teams like football and basketball? I think I've seen two before during a football game intro when they ride down with the motorcycle.

Either way, very very cool.

Just students as far as I know. It was always all students when I was there. And they always use 3. Football and Basketball.
