Heya, guys!
I'll come right out and say that I'm not a Vols fan (Go HOGS!), HOWEVER, I'm also not here to rub salt into your wounds. The Idiot, Lame Kitten, has already done that.
Trust me when I say that there are several of us around the SEC that empathize and truly do understand the situation that y'all are going through. It absolutely sucks when a coach screws the school he's supposed to work for.
Arkansas got screwed by Rooty Tooty Big Fat Ol' Hooty Nutt by way of a $3m "Golden Handcuffs" contract clause two years ago. Yes, I'm well aware of the baggage that came with having Coach Petrino on board, however, as someone that lives in Atlanta, I was actually happy that he left the FowlCons and landed at Arkansas.
For all the fun we made of Coach Fulmer, he was definitely good for the program.
As others have so eloquently said, Al Davis nailed Kitten's character spot on. And yes, we all thought he was a vile, crazy old loon.... apparently, the man is a sage genius, underneath all of that insanity that surrounds him.
I hope that when the new UT coach is named that it is a home run hire for y'all. Muschamp, Butch Davis or Skip Holtz would be that home run y'all need. All three bring a TON of stability to your program, which is something you guys need.
Truth be told, I'd definitely be concerned about game days between our two teams if y'all had one of those three coaches.
On the plus side, no matter who you land... it's going to be someone that you all will be proud of, and it will continue to show the rest of the collegiate football world why the Southeastern Conference is *THE* Premier Conference to play for.
As far as USC-W goes, it's going to be a few years before anyone in the SEC has a chance for retribution/revenge. I don't see any SEC schools on their radar through 2012. This really sucks, because I want to see them come into OUR world and for us SEC fanatics to hand their royal asses to 'em... as long as Kitten is at the helm.
