Did anybody forget the way Oklahoma destroyed the Vols last season? HUH? Good grief we just played a great team and went nose to nose. Yeah we didn't win, but whining and crying isn't going to do any good. I'm not ashamed of the coach or the team. The fan base has went insane. I bet you 100% of the people complaining would be singing Butch Jones praises if they beat Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. This team doesn't need a better coach ... Just a better fan base.

Looked like an amazing fan base last night for a coach that is still below .500 in his 3rd year. I'd say we have the best fans in the world.

Also, I'd wager the "great" OK team you saw last night will lose 4-5 games.

Ok even I'm not THAT optimiatic and a defendant.

If they don't beat both UF and Arkansas then he's not the coach for UT.

My only issue was the play calling once we got ahead and a chance to put our foot on there throat we stopped playing to win but playing not to lose . U can't do that anymore .

Can anyone name a OC that plays safe anymore that's any good ?

This loss was all coaching my friend this isn't the first time Butch has done this. He gets a small lead and go into his coaching shell and calls the game not to loose and he end up giving the team momentum.

In the second half he ran that dang read option way too much and ran far too many screen plays. CBJ talks about learning how to win well he needs to take his own advice. This is year 3 of this offense it shouldn't stall out like that for a whole second half. We need CBJ to grow a pair and coach to win not coach not to loose. I like him and want him to be successful at UT but he needs to look at the man in the mirror and leave the cliches at the door this week. We don't want to hear about getting 1% better or making great strides. Him and Debord need to get 100% better with this play calling in the next two weeks.

Ellis catches the TD we win
Make the FG we win
Dobbs hit pig in the hands instead of the dirt we win
3 drive extending penalties in the last 2 OU drives caused the loss
Better play calling in the 2nd half makes a huge difference.
Going for it on 4th and goal from the half and we win.

Realistically the coaches put the team in position to win but the kids didn't execute.

So the coach made Foreman run over the WR in the endzone. The coach made us miss a ton of tackles/sacks. The coach missed the field goal. The coach made several absolutely dumb penalties that extended OU drives. Dobbs was absolutely terrible last night.

THIS game was on the players!!!

Neither are we, and neither team sucks. It was a good game as much as I hate the outcome. What I can't figure out is what in hell happened to the offensive play calling in the second half. Reminds me of the late 70s. Dive left, dive right, throw long, punt.

No, disagree with you there. I'm usually pretty disappointed with the fan base but not this time. This is on the head coach and coaching staff. Oklahoma has a better head coach and staff and that's why they won. Our coach and staff have to get better and fast. Defensively I thought we did a great job. By the fourth quarter they were just so damn tired because our offense didn't do anything in the second half that they wore down. Offensively, we were horrible. Didn't really use our playmakers to the best of their abilities. For instance the pass that Ellis dropped-our staff should have had Wolf in the game. Very few balls to our play makers in space. When you have a defense running all those run blitzes from the outsize you get your running backs on wheel routes and throw to them. Very little imagination on the offensive side and too much protectionism. Very disappointed in Butch and DeBord.
