Ok, if that’s what you call a named coach. Was talking about head coaches and Lane was a failed and fired NFL coach and an assistant at USC. Not much of a name IMO, jmo, tifwiw, siap.

I assumed named was in quotations because Lane was know, good or bad, and Derreck was the son of a well known coach. Butch as was doing aight at Cincy and Pruitt, well, he is "named now.

If you go to the FF or RF and someone posts “we should hire Billy Bob for O line coach”, then Billy Bob is a “named” coach. It’s like being a Made Man in organized crime.

I know he brought his offensive staff. Not sure about Defense but if you wait till after signing day to announce then nothing special.
