A press conference needs to be called to announce the firing of Hart and Butch next Monday.

I won't have to eat crow if I'm ultimately wrong, because I'll be happy that we're winning in a confident manner... But that's not going to happen because he's a trash coach who won't ever win anything meaningful.

Your point about Miles faking the FG, that takes balls pardner. Say what you want about Miles but that guys has made huge call after huge call throughout the years. Some had success and others failed. However he had faith in his offense to get the job done. Butch has shown twice this season that he has little to no faith in his offense to make the big calls. Thats sad with this roster.

Stop it with the moral victory crap. If the play is so much better than Dooley, then why is Butchs record almost identical with as you say a much more talented roster. I hope Butch can redeem himself this season, but regardless of what happens, the losses to OU and UF will ALWAYS be thought of as coaching disasters.

As shown by my screen name, I've posted quite a few observations about CBJ from my Ohio region. As a VOL fan I was disappointed at the Jones hire because of his tenure as a 3 year and out coach at Central Michigan and UC. But, I was really hoping his energy level and recruiting sales pitches would work out for the VOLS.

I was/still hope he can learn and develop as a top conference coach, but have been disappointed. College football is tough; it's all about the wins. I've not seen CBJ's performance after 3 years anywhere; guess after the extension, would be unlikely he would be out.

Those of us living in Ohio are not surprised. We've already lived through it....I just can it another go-round as a VOL fan.

I deleted it off mine on Sunday morning. I almost got a sense of relief out of it! Kinda like when you were in high school and a girl would piss you off. That feeling you got when you deleted her out of your contacts

In my mind, this was going to be an 8 or 9 win season, then another win in the bowl game. 2016 is what I predict to be the good year for us. 2016 is the year that we make an appearance in the S.E.C. Championship game and also will be ranked in the top # 10.

bUTch has: Built a roster! Built some depth at certain positions! Got rid of the dead weight! Held the players accountable! Gave the leadership of the team to the players! Has inspired the players to play hard the entire game! Has got us over the hump to beat USC! Has gotten us a win in a bowl game! Gotten us a winning season!

Next: 10 win season (2015) S.E.C. Championship game (2016) Win S.E.C. Championship game (2017) Play in NCAA play off (2017)

We are sooooo close to taking the next step, of winning the close game, that everyone is anxious and not thinking clearly.

the sky is NOT falling and bUTch will get things straight. He will play Dormady some in every game and develope a passing game. We will have a two q.b. system the rest of this season.

None of the possible scenarios makes it an automatic 3 possession game.

100% wrong decision. There is no difference in 12 and 13 points in that scenario with the time remaining in the game.

Butch is just in way over his head, he seems to be a good recruiter, but where would he be without the alumni recruits. I hope he is not to proud to try and learn from his mistakes. You cannot even say his name with Saban, Miles, Richt, etc. He is probably a pretty good MAC coach, but not in the SEC

First off, I don't think this season is over, they have the talent to compete with anyone on the schedule, minus Alabama (considering its in Tuscaloosa).

But if Butch wants to be successful here he needs to take a serious look at his staff and get together a group that can make up for some of his shortcomings. Truthfully I don't want the guy gone bc it will set the program back even further, but some things clearly need to be fixed

I don't believe there is a limit on 2 point attempts, never heard that before. I do wonder about the call, though, it was obvious we should go for 2.

For the record, it only works 40% of the time.

I didn't say a dadgum thing about moral victories. I was making the point Miles was fixing to be OUT. He had butchered time clock several times and was on his way out. At the end of they year, YES you evaluate your coach. It would serve no freakin purpose to kneejerk in mid season but keep up the message board madness if it makes you feel good. I have been watching UT ball more than likely a lot longer than you. I have seen many coaches blow games. I was at UCLA game in 85 we were up 2 touchdown with just under 6 minutes we ran 6 plays in 2 possessions and let UCLA score twice and get 2 twice. MAJORS and staff cost us that game, we bounced back and went to the Sugar Bowl. All I'm saying is let the season play out. But by all means carry on with this crap if u must. Nobody likes losing more than me, that don't mean I have to agree with gutting the staff after 4 freakin games. That's my opinion. And finally faking a 23 yard field goal with less than 10 seconds left when a field goal WINS the game isn't BALLS it's NUTS and a lot of LSU fans still wanting him fired after doing it. He said he wasn't sure if he could hit it from there, but instead the a 1 on 3 jump ball and his receiver caught it. You can call it GUTS, most would call it STUPID! GBO!!!

Dude all of that is well and good. He can recruit at the highest level, build depth, staff continuity etc and so on. But it don't mean jack if he continues to coach us out of games! I keep hearing this "we are close" BS and while it may be true we will never get there unless CBJ makes a drastic change in his game day management and coaching philosophy! It's not a myth or a bunch of CBJ detractors running around grasping at straws to prove a point, It's fact as witnessed by a qbillion people on Saturday!

I'm afraid Butch reminds me of a college buddy who sucked at math.

He studied hard, took good notes, went to study groups, utilized a math tutor...and still did horrible in every math class he took. He never magically became good at math.

Does all of the right things except execute when it counts.

So for me, I have to see to believe.

Well let's be honest, Zook taking over for Spurrier a year after they were ranked in the top 5 nationally is worlds apart from Butch coming in after Dooley, Kiffen, and a 5 win Fulmer team that lost to Wyoming.

Be critical, demand results, want him gone - that's your right as a fan/supporter...but comparing Butch's and Zook's situations isn't an even playing field.
