Dooley has done an extremely good job with the offense....what if he had someone like John Chavis on this staff!! We would be very scary!!

He had a pretty good DC in Wilcox who apparently disliked him so much he took the first available West coast job that came up.

I don't think you could ever get Chavis to come back here... He was attached at the hip to Phil and that's where he'll leave it.. You would be wanting him gone after the first 3rd and a mile he gave up anyway...

I don't think Wilcox and the other 6 coaches left because the didn't like Dooley. They left because they could see he would be fired shortly.

I give Chaney, Graham, and Pittman credit for the offense. Graham and Pittman gave us a running game.

Please remember that Dooley inherited an all star offense in Bray, Hunter, the O line and Neil, who has been coached up very well by J Graham. None of these were recruits of Dooley. Now imagine if UT keeps him and these players leave and they soon will, what will the condition of a Dooley recruited and Dooley coached offense will be.

Offense can't score when they need to and they're very predictable. They put up stats, but stats ain't the whole story.

Wilcox was offered $250,000 more than he made at UT by WDub. You can look it up. He made 500K at UT and is currently getting 750K. He may or may not have liked Dooley. He probably was worried about the future, but for crying out loud, would you leave for a 50% raise? I sure as hizzle would! Watch the door hit me in the rear on my way out, I'd go so fast.

Now do you think, that after a 5-7 year, with many people even on this very site complaining loudly about Wilcox, that Dooley or Hart could afford a big counter offer? Please! Give me a break.

Where Dooley/Hart screwed up, is not offering it to Lance Thompson IMO. Rumor had it that LT didn't want the DC job, but I question that.

Did anyone see Bama's winning drive agianst LSU? Chief at his finest....

Yes...LOL, and fans down in bammer land are giddy that AJ Macaroon is now the second coming of Wiley Joe Namath. Let them have their illusions...Chavis delivered that game to Satan on a silver plate.

Really?? the O line was horrible the last 2 years and our D line just now getting depth because of Dooley recruits...our Defense is bad you can't learn the 3 - 4 in 6 months with no leadership teaching it to the younger players!!

Who was complaining about Wilcox?? Yeah his defense gave up a lot of yards but it was better than the offense.. They should paid the man and maybe saved Dooley's job..

Our Dline gets no pressure on any QB at all, Dooley recruits bodies, not depth.

I don't think that is fair at all. He "inherited" a bunch of unproven freshmen talent and then groomed them to be where they are today.

That offensive line didn't come this strong they became this strong.

Can't score when they need to? So being behind a lot and putting up 44 on Georgia, 31 on Miss st, 35 on USC and their defense gives up 51, 31, and 38 respectably and can't give the offense a shot, and the offense gives up 1 sack on the final drive, they can't be counted on?

You're right they suck.

What a stupid post.

When the defense gets critical stops, the offense goes 3 and out, they suck when they need to be good.

Check the game tape before you start throwing insults around, stats don't tell the story.
