Man have the times changed. Three years ago in Butches first year we went 5-7, this year we are 3-0 and only 2 games away from matching his record from his first year. What else do y'all want the man to do???? He hasn't lost a game in 9 straight games. Three years ago we could have only dreamed of winning 9 games in a row. Yes it hasn't been pretty at times but good grief the man is winning......If we win every game the rest of the season in a very ugly way are people still going to be mad because they didn't win the way that you wanted them too?? Jones has won 2 more games than the year before every season he has been here. If this stays true we will be 10-2 at the end of the year. If you are mad at this team if that is our final result you have lost your mind.

We want to see a team that is better than last year! there, plain and simple. It's is the Ws, but I think what you bunch of your sunshine pumpers are forgetting is that a lot of posters here do take the time to read up on the team, keep up with recruiting, pay over $3K for the right to purchase season tickets, read all the news media columns (bad or good). Granted most of us, if not all are not coaches, but we damn well know the difference between a good coached team, passion and winning football. Ohio State played two cupcakes, came out and stomped a mud hole in Oklahoma in Norman! now had UT did this to ALL three opponents, demonstrated that the team had evolved......then everyone would be happy, but that is NOT the case....this team is playing on athleticism and now they are about to meet the SEC, say what you want about this team or that...Florida has athletes just like UT........we need something that would place us above the rest and that is a great functional and coached team that has passion and confidence........now that ain't the case, you can paint that zebra what ever color you want........it's still a zebra. This is the 4th year, and everyone is the friggen world knows, this is the year to prove........can you coach and develop or can you just recruit......Butch knows this better than any of us.:rock:

Please stop making excuses for a staff that looks to be doing a poor job getting the best out of the players

We'll take ugly wins over good teams, but ugly wins over bad teams is a cause for concern. It's not just the media hype that gave us these high expectations. It was how we played Oklahoma, UF, Ga, and Bama that gave us hope. We ended on a very strong note in the bowl game. We have no excuses, this a a veteran team. We expected this team to come out strong. Instead they have played flat, look lost and regressed where we were once strong. I can assure you, we're all happy about being 3-0 and on a 9 game win streak, even though those 9 teams are bottom feeders. We should be on a 9 game win streak, stop acting like we're lucky to beat 9 bottom feeders. That's EXPECTED. It's not expected to win 2 of those 3 by luck instead of dominance with the talent and upper class

beat uf, the 9-0 record is not against ranked teams minus NW(13). Lose this and the fans will really be crazy.

I've seen a lot of football in over half a century of watching the game. Teams this ill-prepared don't win 9 games in a row to finish out the season - ugly or otherwise.

Win a game vs a real rival. Only got 1 vs Georgia. Zero for bama and gators. 4 years is plenty of time to expect something.

When can anyone remember a more unimpressive 3-0 start by the Vols? I'm glad they are 3-0 but they sure haven't instilled much confidence.

I don't think it is too much to ask for continuous improvement. This team should be better than team 119 but nothing points to that being true after the first 3 games.

With the talent CBJ cruited..we expected to start 3-0. Their is high expectation with the program and fans...as should be. We see amazing talent that doesn't appear to have gotten better..OL is biggest. This wkend will give us answers for the most part

Plenty of room for improvement. We missed our chance to fire Butch last year. So he is the coach for now, let's see how this pans out and go from there. It's not like we would fire him while on a winning streak, once he loses again we can send him packing. It could be a long wait, after we beat Florida that will springboard this team and we might not lose for like 25+ games.

It's Beat Florida Week.
