The coaches had the captains make the call on whether or not to keep Da'Rick on the team for next season after all the attitude problems they have had out of him. When they approached him, he was supposedly very humble and promised to work harder, and the captains decided to give him ""another chance."

If he does not follow through DD will probably buy him a ticket home. He has lots of ability and can help win games for us. He just must be a team player not a "me" player.

When you take into account all the things said about DR and the things he's maybe or maybe not said, you'd think the dude is schizophrenic.

Haven't seen him refuse to play yet, hard to tell a 6'3 215 prototype receiver to walk unless he's in jail or willfully on the bench.

Haha so we've already named team captains for next season? Did Bray ask DaRick if he wants to play next year? This is lunacy. Get out. DaRick is going nowhere. He'll be All-SEC again next season. He will go to the NFL. Volnation will waste it's time ridiculing another outstanding talent rather than enjoying watching them play during their time on the Hill.

Do your thing DaRick.

ZERO percent chance that Dooley kicks him off the team. This is completely fabricated. Unless Rogers gets in trouble with the law or drugs he isn't getting kicked off the team. You don't kick 5 star WR's who put up 1000 yards receiving in their Soph season off the team because they are concerned with their stats. Peerless Price was obsessive about his numbers but it didn't matter because they won games. If Tennessee can just win some games it won't matter.

Sounds like a mini T.O.

If true then good for the captains, for the coaches for letting them handle it, and for Rogers for being humble.

Sad that it came to this.

Don't shoot the messenger. Don't know what to beleive about it, but definitely found it interesting. From what I head it was Austin Johnson and Malik Jackson, and Alex Bullard that talked to him. Whether or not they are actualy "Captains" escapes me. This is copied and pasted directly from a fb conversation I had with a member of the football staff.

Janzen Jackson's 700 chances prove how strict Dooley is

/sarcasm

janzen jackson was the best athlete on the team and dooley gave him the boot. he did give him every chance to correct himself, jj has noone to blame but himself. dooley would do the same with anyone else on the team also.

I don't know Da'Ricks background story, but could it be he just wants to be successful and provide his family a better life? Stats prove success and get him in the NFL right? So he talks some trash. He can play with the best of the best. He is vocal, experienced now, very talanted, and will be a big leader next year I think.

I don't know about this. Unless the (former) captains approached Rogers and said, "You're going to be an upperclassmen next year. It's your responsibility to be a leader and take ownership of the team." I'm skeptical of the coaches delegating ultimatum duty to the (former) captains.

Another thing, there is no way in Hell that Dooley would let the players decide whether or not to keep the best player from last year on the team. No chance.

Yes, after giving him a damn near endless amount of rope JJ hung himself.

Great players get more chances. It is what it is. JJ kicked himself off for all intents and purposes, the decision was all but out of DD's hands.

This. And if it were true, he needs to be removed and replaced.
