Take a look at this interesting concept in home security. One device, sets up in under a minute and sends data straight to your phone. Being crowd sourced now with a release sometime in Spring of 14. No, I'm not involved, but I may be buying one.

Yep. I'm out in the sticks. Apparently my dogs watched them carry my stuff out.

Yeah I know Alexandria well. I own property in Auburntown. That sucks. You ever thought about mounting a camera? Even a couple game cameras would work.

Yea. Got cameras up now.

They caught one of the two guys who did it last time. He was a career burglar and got caught red handed in Sumner County. Confessed to mine and a bunch of others.

A buddy of mine is a detective in the Dekalb sheriff's office.

Nice, maybe you won't have any more trouble.

It's a glorified wifi security cam with extra features. Not doing you any good if the burglar cuts the power though as it's plugged into the AC. They ought to install a backup battery that kicks in when the power goes out and just sets the camera to a low res mode to save battery or simply only have the camera come on when it sees motion during a power outage.

Not sure how you'd use this when you are in your home.

At night I set my alarm but the motion is disabled. The canary seems useless while you are in your home.

I don't set my alarm while I'm home. Plus, I have guns.

Put it in your living room and it will send video to your phone in the bedroom. Then you can check out any noises without getting out of bed.

Right. Everyone has guns. I don't hear every sound while I'm sleeping. 3 level house. But if I get up to take a leak I wouldn't want my "canary" sending off alerts either so its useless at night. Besides, if I was out of town, I'd would want an alarm for family at night.
