They've been sort of quiet lately as our other WRs, namely Payton and Tillman emerged. However, I fully expect to see Calloway and Hyatt become more visible and put on a show. Last week, it was the RBs that showcased themselves. This time it will be the WRs with the CalloHyatts pacing the show. With these two being spotted by a rotating bevy of our Soph WRs, it's going to out=Leach's air raid with mid-field attacks by B-25b Mitchel's and b-17 Fortresses. I think the TEs, Fant and Warren will be prominent as well. I expect one heck of a show.

Hope you're right Woodsman, after listening to Golesh's press conference it sounds like they're not quite where they need to be yet but there is expectation that they will get there and hopefully soon.

I dont want to try too hard to get them the ball that we slow down the offensive progression that we've been building though.

Velus Jones is Alvin Kamara 2.0 except CJH actually knows to play his chess pieces. Book it!

I think our offense has found its groove as long as we are not playing a team loaded three deep with 5 stars and all NCAA/SEC players. I would love to see more love for the Defense. Without a doubt, the defense reacts more to motivation than the offense, IMO. If we can keep our opponents to under 20, we will be bowling at the end of 2021/start of 2022.

Hopefully they have caught a few thousand balls off the Jugs machine in the past couple weeks
It's too bad the Jugs machine is only for practice. It can't throw to them in a game. Both have had plenty of chances to prove themselves in games and both have failed miserably. I hope they keep the current WR rotation because those guys are proving themselves.

I think the first few weeks they were seeing who they could trust and for the remainder of the season, Payton, Velus and Tillman will be getting the majority of the snaps with Hyatt, Calloway and Keyton getting snaps in certain packages.

This is like saying, "It's going to be the Joe Milton show on Saturday!"

Why would you change what is working? Hyatt and Calloway had their chance and blew it, dropping some key passes. Jones, Tillman, Payton, and Warren all day. They have proven that they can be trusted to catch the ball.

Gotta tell, ya, JRich, I. me, and myself can't change anything on the team. I ain't the coach and don't want to be. I do think CalloHyatt seeing their PT cut drastically and being distrusted will ignite a blowtorch under their lower blowhole. And we will see the results in the USC game. Oh, yeah, that's call an opinion cause I can't change anything regarding the team. I can have opinions though, even if they're numskull, and consist of a cauldron of nonsense, long since, incense, two cents, or even half a pence. And like when I have a barrel of ice cream or a bag of candy, I like to share. Even with people who don't want any.

They both have blazing speed, and are both underclassmen. Plenty of time for them to develop and take the top off of defenses. The Vols have some fast freshmen coming in next year too.

How about don't change what is working?
Absolutely. Keep things as they are. Those two had opportunities to make some plays and didn't get it done. Not saying we should give up on them, but they'd remain backups until they start making good on the opportunities if and when they do come their way again. Stick with the guys who are making plays for you.

I hope you’re right, they certainly have the talent. I think Hyatt is having to battle some mental hurdles and Calloway is buried for a while after the drop at Florida. The drops have hurt them both. I was actually expecting Hyatt to have a great season.

Get open, catch the ball. This part isn't so much up to the coaches as it is Hyatt and Calloway. They both have had chances and will continue to see chances.

I was just about to say the same. Golesh told us a lot.

They moved Velus to the slot which drastically reduced Hyatt's snaps. Calloway didn't play a single snap against Mizzou. I don't see either playing much on Saturday.

They have to. Even they're not targeted.
Just the shear number of plays we run determine that.

Calloway had the one bad drop at Florida. Other than that he's been pretty good.

Peyton and Velus are the SRs that are playing with consistency. But Calloway and especially Hyatt need to factor in. They're too good not to.
