A lot of us worried about the Butchfense for a long time without Dobbs especially in the Red Zone. We saw yesterday how unsuited to SEC play it is without an elite dual threat (and even then it can't beat Vandy).
The 1 yard failure will now define Butch legacy: close but no cigar. If we convert that we demoralise Gators and they fold. We actually had them reeling and they would have crumbled with a bigger dose of Jelly.
Butch has worked in the worst East in a generation. Like him but he is clearly not an SEC coach. Great job stabilising the ship from Stooley and getting the fight back in the team. But he won'the win the East even in its current state of weakness.
Hope Currie has a plan.
