I like this resiliency I'm seeing from CBJ. This broadcast has truly shown his determination when it comes to DETAILS, ACCOUNTABILITY & whatever the T stands for.

He just said they're still waiting on the results from DKJ's surgery? Said it's possible he'll only miss 3-4 weeks......is this a rerun?

I really hope all the hard work CBJ has put in finally pays off - he deserves a big year.

I've always liked how CBJ wears his faith on his sleeve

He's been known to lead large groups of players, former players and their families in a prayer. He wears a Bible verse from Philippians around his wrist. He has a passion for Christ and isn't shy about showing his faith.

I'm glad my coach is right with the Lord, he makes me proud to be a UT Vol fan.

He has done it all the right way. I hope he proves the masses wrong this year as well.

You're right!!! Butch is a great rep of our program IMO. His coachspeak is boring, but he certainly doesnt come across as an *******. BUT... it all goes to **** without the W's. Year FIVE... we shouldn't be worrying about a LB who barely played LAST year.
If these LB's end up costing us games... he may regret not ****canning Thig last year.

When Butch looks back on his time at Tennessee, he'll probably regret not replacing several assistants earlier in his tenure.

One week from today we will have a sampling of 2 games under our belt. We will know a lot more then about the teams talent.

Shoop was just on The BJ's Show and wasn't too worried about our LBing corp. He failed to mention D. Bituli. I'm certain that I've read or saw interviews in the spring and early fall about Bituli being hampered by mild, nagging, ankle injuries that don't allow him to be at 100 %. It has to be either that or Bituli just can't crack the starting position. He gets a lot of mentioning on VN, yet no one can provide a reason as to why he hasn't played much. I disagree with your post concerning the LB's being responsible for any loss although bad play there could contribute to a loss. I consider coach Thig as being very active in our recruiting efforts. We've missed a few LB's the last several seasons and I only see one listed on our 2018 class. IMO we are thin at the position but I'm not coaching so what do I know. The show I just watched had to be recorded earlier because coach Shoop praised A.Smith as if he were going to be playing Mon. night.:twocents:

All goofy slogans and whatever else we poke fun at aside, I REALLY want this guy to succeed here. He seems like a good person.

The defensive success will come down ED. Take from that what you will. Don't know if they need to wear glasses or take a pill!
