Personally, I think that Cuonzo is a great coach. However, I think that if Cuonzo got a call from the Big 10 (Purdue... Illinois... etc) that he would return to the area where he grew up playing basketball.
Bruce hasn't left Knoxville. He still is a Black Sheep in many Universities due to his turning over illegal recruiting methods early in his career.
Bruce continues to bleed orange. My question is, when is Bruce Pearl available? Let the countdown begin!
You really are a sad individual.
That's rich. You are one of the most negative, uninformed and pathetic posters on this site. You do nothing but piss and moan over and over. I bet you are just the life of the party to be around in real life. You let a bunch of 18-22 year olds that you don't even know and an AD ruin your life when you have zero control over it. It must really suck to be you. Poor fella.
Ruined his life....maybe it's you that are taking this too serious.....positive or negative we are just discussing basketball on a message board.
I don't agree with a lot that he says but he is always here supporting the vols.
I could really give two sh*ts if he supports the Vols. I think UT would be better off without ignorant and pathetic fans like him. Go jump on Bama's football bandwagon or Ky's bandwagon. That would make him feel better.
Pathetic fans? What is your definition of a good fan....I disagree with BTO more than anyone on here but he is obviously a VOL fan and that is good enough for me.
Someone that pisses and moans about everything and finds the negative in everything. F that attitude. Hit the damn bricks. I could care less.
Is there not a lot to be negative about? Our football team has sucked, our baseball team has sucked, our basketball team is performing less than expectations, even the Lady Vols are going in the wrong direction. Life is not all daisy and roses.
I have been watching ut sports since the 70's but I don't agree with your expectations. I know why we are in the position we are but it doesn't mean I have to like it. My biggest fear is that Zo is mediocre enough to keep us from firing him and it will be like reliving the Devoe era.We aren't good enough in the two sports I care about: football and basketball. However, I've been alive long enough to know there are mountains and valleys. A lot of people aren't old enough to remember that UT was average at best in football from the mid-70's to the mid 80's. People got spoiled by the 90's and the early 2000's. That is not the norm. We will get back in football. Whether we get back to the Ray Mears or Bruce Pearl years in hoops remains to be seen. We have better support than we used to have in hoops. UT along with the other SEC schools not named Ky treated hoops like an intramural sport.
We still don't have the administrative support that we had in the 90's and 2000's. People don't realize how good of a president Joe Johnson really was. When something rots, it rots from the head down. UT has had a myriad of college presidents come and go since he retired. With that came instability. Then they hired one of the worst athletic directors in the history of college athletics. When you couple that together, it's not hard to see why UT is where it is at currently.

That's because you aren't looking at it in rational terms. Again, ask any expert if UT overachieved in year 1 and they'd say they did. With that roster, no one expected UT to make the NCAA tourney. I expect a lot out of UT. I patronize them well and expect quite a bit in return. However, I'm not foolish enough to say that every season is a failure if we don't make the tourney based on looking at concrete facts.
And I'd take Devoe any day over Zo. At least Devoe knew his X's and O's. His weakness was recruiting and adjusting to the shot clock.
U can over achieve and the season still be a failure.
This is going to shock you, but we're going to have to agree to disagree. The only thing that I can tell you is if you think that should be the definition of success or failure then you need to make a lot more money and become a powerful booster. Then maybe they'll take your opinion into consideration.
So in other words the statement of "he's always here supporting the vols" may be a bit inaccurate, would you agree?
