If Dickey were the AD, I wouldn't be worried about that move one iota. Dickey would have a leash and he would keep the NCAA out of our house.

Hambone and Hart? Well, Hart is no doubt going to screw the hire up big time.

If Dickey were still AD, Pearl never gets fired in the first place.

You apparently missed the drama of the football coaching hire.

Here's a hint, Jones wasn't the first, second, or third choice.

Cuonzo has all the makings of a kinder, gentler Dooley and his team looks worse in year 3 than year 1.

So, your "want every ****ing coach, his staff, the AD, and his staff fired ever year?" comment is just overblown hyperbole.

UT fans don't want to see coaches fired, they want to see competitive teams on the field and courts.

Even though I thought he was a joke from day one, I gave him more than 10 games. But because it took some of you 2 + years to figure out you been had , does not mean you are better than the ones that gave him 10 games and don't make anybody more or less of a fan.

Make no mistake, those who are saying things to the effect of, "If UT doesn't rehire Pearl, I'm done with UT basketball", are much less of a fan. They are fans of Bruce Pearl, not the University of Tennessee. Those who have been actively rooting for our team to fail as a means to oust Martin are less of a fan. And those who want to see Martin fail as a means of assurance that "they were right" about him, are less of a fan. Plenty of each faction exist.

Ok I know that pearl is not the only coach that could do well here but what do you really have against pearl? The guy freaking won here every year and made us worth watching. I loved when he was here because I love winning. People have no reason to not like the guy unless your against winning ball games and going to the tourney.

I agree 100%. He may do wonders for the program, but at the same time, one (Hart) CANNOT avoid the fact that there's high probability that this would place our athletic department under the biggest microscope in the country with the recent history of all of our problems. I would have to think that the potential cons would outweigh the pros, simply by NCAA scrutiny alone. It's not worth the risk, IMO. There are plenty of other hirable coaches out there that can be just as, if not more, successful that BP.

Yeah, we have hired so many basketball coaches that did a much better job than Pearl so we can just pick one up off the street. Where do you people get the hate you have for Pearl?
