What proof do you have that Cheek hates sports? If any.

The millions that he took from the AD dept during the last 5-6years and transferred to the academic side of the school. Second from conversations that I heard at two republican fund raisers in Nashville, (2010), when Haslem was running for Governor. Third if you do a search in the football forum it was discussed at nausium during the CBJ hire, and if you remember the Tennessee Board of Regents met with Cheek in early 2013, and told him to transfer back I think it was 17 million to the athletic department because it was in the red. he has also pulled resources from the Thorton center which was an educational support center to help student athletes only with their studies. Research Cheek yourself, he was at Florida before he came here, read and learn why they ran him out of there.

For those of you still wanting Bruce to be the coach of your team, you have no other choice but to become an Auburn Fan. Please stop posting nonsense on Vol sites.
Bruce coaches for Auburn and that is where he will be coaching for the next few years.
So follow him there if you are so inclined.
If CM leaves we will be looking for a new coach but I have a better shot at the job than Bruce does...........

move on. Find a young coach that wants to go to ncaa tournaments and play in front of a top 5 crowd as he makes a march and be a coach at a school highly ranked in attendance in 3 sports.

If Cuonzo is lured away from TBA (for money, for the petition, whatever floats your boat) is the $5M buyout for Bruce Pearl the best money Hart could spend at this time?

Here's the rub though: paying the Auburn buyout would simultaneously be the best move the AD could make if Cuonzo finds greener pastures and also demonstrate his colossal incompetence (for those not already aware).

I think it highly likely Hart never approached BP with a "Don't be too quick to take something; you're in our thoughts. See how it plays out first." If Hart keeps his options open, if he defies Jimmy the Cheek, if he was working to advance UT athletics, it is possible we could have Bruce Pearl ready to fill the (potential) void.

Dave "sit on hands" Hart though has, once again, sat on his hands. If Cuonzo leaves, Hart has already failed (again).
The sad part is that you're serious.

This is dumb. If you spend this much you get a NBA coach or a NC type coach. Not one who let a 20 point lead slip in the Elite Eight and got blew out of the tourney by 19 or more twice with a couple first round losses.

Coach Martin isn't going anywhere!!! He was just a horrible BS call and a few lucky 3 point shots away from the elite 8 and a match up against UK that they match up well with. In fact, Martin will get a raise and possibly extended. I was a BBB guy all the way, but please move the F@#* on!!!!!!

I wish cuonzo would just go ahead and leave that way we will have a new coach to B!tch about I hope the next one can take a joke a little better than our current head coach who cried over a little petition.

And for those who worship the man this is obviously a joke

Uhhh its not a matter of firing Martin anymore, he was allegedly offered a raise/ extension and hasnt signed it. It would seem hes off to MU. Oh well let him take his ball and go home
