The Bracket

I've looked at every possible scenario and this seems to be the only likely situation where we don't play at OSU. OSU beat Penn St. head to head so very plausible that the Committee would put Ohio St. ahead of Penn St. Change of venue for us... from snowy Columbus to even more snowy Happy Valley.
To be honest, I think we match up well against either team. Ohio State o-line is decimated. With our d-line, it wouldn’t bode well for them there. With Penn State, they’re more like we are and are a more defensive reliant team. I think our offense is finally waking up a bit and our defense it better than theirs.

I do think we likely see the best version of Georgia again in the SECCG. Vegas has Texas favored again and the ESPN game predictor thing is giving Texas like a 65% chance to win. We all know Kirby is going to be hammering the disrespect card all week.

🤕
These two buttheads are going to beat Georgia this week?

I also think Texas wins, but only because they lost the first matchup and will be out for blood.
There is some validity to that but, at some point, their OL is still going to have to block Georgia's DL and that didn't go very well the last time.

So am I reading this right?

Bama has ND in the first round and the winner of the ACC CG in the second. They should just go ahead and book tickets to the semi-finals. This is nuts.

Meanwhile we are playing at Columbus in the first round instead of hosting. This whole thing is irritating.
Dude….exactly. Like wow. They are trolling us. Punks!

One thing I know for damn sure - we will be motivated like you’ve never seen to go up there in our storm trooper suits and whip some big ten MF’N ASS in their house.

Our boys will be pissed off about this lack of respect for them like few can understand.

“Sampson for SIX” is going to be flowing like smooth Tennessee whisky over cracked ice.

There is a reason ohio is 2 -25 or whatever the hell it is against SEC teams for the last hundred years…… they ain’t man enough. They sure as hell won’t be this December.

They saw Michigan outbid LSU for the number one qb last week and tried to outbid us for the number one OT. They couldn’t beat us. And they won’t in three weeks either.

😡🤬😡🤬
I like the bravado but playing Ohio State at The Shoe is different than getting them on a neutral field in Atlanta or Phoenix. And before you say, “tell that to Michigan,” that’s a rivalry game where anything can happen, no different from our home games with Florida over the last 30 years.

Not exactly. If SMU wins, yes. If Clemson beats SMU, Boise State will be the #3 seed.
I’m sorry I got distracted what are you responding in reference to? I’m watching folks reactions on YouTube and got side tracked.

You said Bama gets the winner of the ACCCG in the second round. That’s only if SMU is the #3 seed.

Maybe I am crazy- The bracket is not ESPN's projection.
CFP has UT currently at 7.
Would that not have us hosting #10?
Or the final bracket is after the Conference championship games?

Only 2 conference championship participants are ranked higher than Tenn. Therefore 2 conference champs will jump Tenn for the bye. That pushes Tenn to 9.

If Clemson wins the ACC, does SMU stay in and bump Bama out? If SMU drops out, then the rest of the conference championship losers should be punished as well.

It seems as though we feel our playoff lives depends on whether we are home or away. We made the playoffs!! Tennessee has won on the road and we can do it again against OS, PS, or Georgia.
For me, it's more about a well-deserving fan base being robbed of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
In no rational universe can you justify what took place. Athletics are no longer about competition and true merit. It's a business. Period.
