The Boo Carter hate needs to stop.

You are delusional, he is literally one of our best players on D. If you cant see that you are football illiterate.
Wasn't Boo the one who let the UAB receiver get wide open behind him for the TD? I'm not sure if that was on the safety or Boo but it wasn't a good look.

Also the muffed punt appeared half-hearted effort.

Totally whiffed on a sack he should have landed.

When he's on, he amazing. But he makes some really scary, questionable, and bone-headed low football iq mistakes.

Is he an asset or a liability? Or both? Is that a good thing?

Boo controls his own destiny. Phenomenal talent. Needs to get his head right. Play disciplined, and harness that skill. Pick your moments.

All that being said, if he's here next year I'll be surprised.
Me too. I think he playing out the string.

some people you can’t help.

Boo has been like this for a very long time.
That’s all I’m going to say.

Heupel is genuinely interested in helping him. But he’s trying to get him out of a deep hole.

It’s not as simple as we as fans think it is.
The hate definitely doesn’t help, but I understand why it exists. He’s a distraction and I wish they would give Merrit or Poteat at look at NB.

Shout out to Edris Farooq for balling out at safety!

And this is the problem with social media.
Everybody has a voice now or platform to speak.

The dude isn’t wrong, but he’s bringing negativity towards a situation that needs less of it. Much less. Heupel will help, but I personally don’t think it will be enough.

Running to UCLA might have helped him. For a bit. They still would suck.

They’re trying to help him and I respect that, and he’s obviously got some ability. It seemed a little awkward though when coach gave him a shoutout…I hope it works out for him here.

He 100% isn’t one of our best players on D right now. He’s one of the worst, among the starters at least, despite having more natural talent than any of them. That’s where a lot of the frustration comes in
Check the stats. You aren’t watching the same game as most. To begin, Boo has elite closing speed and was in full display today. No one on this team closes on a ball carrier the way he does during run support.
He led the team in tackles today with 9, 6 solo, as sack and 3 TFL’s.
You don’t know what you are talking about.

Let the coaches coach. If coach wants him on our team, we should too. He's obviously making plays for us. Lift the young man up..he's a VOL and he signed up to stay home for us. He could have went wherever. Let's do better and support our players, until they aren't!

I do watch the games. You’re reading a box score. Yes his athleticism shows up very well against the UABs of the world. As I said, lots of natural talent. But he has been routinely embarrassed in coverage against the two teams we played with a pulse, and of course has muffed two punts in four games

Boo is suited up in an orange uniform. Support Boo. If he changed his name 70% of the haters on here would never know.

Let the coaches coach.
Let the players play
Let the fans b**ch and spend all their hard earned money on TN swag year after year.
We are TN.

People keep saying he does not look locked in on twitter, others are saying bench him... The kid is literally one of our best players on D. He will 100% be playing on Sunday if he stays out of trouble. If he gets in trouble cut him, but if you don't like him, or his so called attitude, well keep your mouth shut, let the damn coaches handle it, because we need him, end of story.
Okay

He needs to earn the fanbases support and respect back imo.

And he’s not having a great season on defense at this point.

Merritt at Safety is the one who let the WR run right past him like he had Safety help over the top or something. Which he didn't of course...because Merritt WAS the Safety out wide. I laughed when it happened because it was do dumb and hes just a freshman. I bet Martinez didnt think it was funny though.

3 high schools in 4 years. It’s not all Boo, it’s those “advising” his life choices. He needs to cut those around him making it about them and not him.
