The Blake Griffin thread

It's good he plays hard, but he's going to wear himself out. I'd be surprised if he retains 70% of the athleticism he has now by the time he's a free agent.

How do you guys feel about all this talk amongst other players saying he plays to hard? That's total BS and the fact that he is showing up some of the more notoriously known lazy players in the league such as Lamar Odom and Brenden Haywood, maybe that means they should step there game up or get the hell out the way! Even Kobe took Blake's side saying that was the way I learned to the game I never let up.

I'm like you I think its total BS. Did Bird, Magic, Jordan, Dr. J, etc. worry about letting up??? No. Lamar Odom and Brenden Haywood can keep playing half a$$ and look lazy all they want, so dont expect or try to bring down Griffin in the process.

Other NBA players are not lazy and are not embarrassed that he shows them up. Guys develop their niches, find out what works for them, and don't have to go hard like he does all the time. While any player will eventually wear themselves out at the pace he plays, he should be concerned with it mainly because he's shown to have a glass jaw. Soon enough he'll again be making colonoscopy faces on the court after hitting the floor.

Developing niches, finding out what works for them, and not having to go hard like Griffin does.... is the 'NEW NBA"...... I know and understand. Clippers being up by 30 or down by 30 Griffin doesnt need to do a Wind-Mill dunk or go flying into the stands head first after a loose ball. Totally agree, so go hard when he needs to go hard.

But one thing that drives me nuts is a team like the Hawks. Group of guys that are talented but do not play hard all the time.......and you can see the difference when the playoffs come because you see them play hard every game.

Has he passed Vince Carter as far as greatest dunker yet? I'm thinking he has.

Not only can Griffin dunk, but the guy is a GREAT basketball player. I honestly think he can average a 25/15 one season.

Blake griffin didn't deserve that. McGees dunks were all better until he knew the fans would be morons.

And Ibaka got screwed.

Should have been McGee vs Ibaka but I guess the NBA doesn't care about that.

This. That last dunk was the same angry dunk he has been doing all year. They just strategically placed the lowest part of a compact car in his way to make it seem like the greatest thing ever thrown in a hoop.

Had some ridiculous dunks tonight. Caught a half court alley and threw one down that should have been about a foot out of reach

im sorry, and i know im gonna get bashed. but i think BG is a joke! he has no game, and all he can do is dunk. he has no outside shooting capabilities at all, he is one dimensional. i have no idea why people go gaga over him. he's not done any dunks that we haven't seen before, so i don't know why people think he is so great? hell he cant even play defense, the guy is just a one trick pony, on a poor team..

I didn't know that 21 year old rookies that average 22 points, 12 boards, and 4 asst. can't do anything but dunk.

Thats all he does is dunk, tell me your not blind and don't see it! Yeah he might average 21 points, but that's because all they do is feed him down low, or on a fast break for a dunk....he has no outside shot, if he is 5 feet away from the rim he useless.
