The biggest game ever played - We won

I think there's a problem with both extremes. Some people can't do anything but gripe about the bad, some can't have a rational discussion about the bad to go along with the good.

It's a big problem with this forum. Hardly anyone stays rational and capable of having an intellectual discussion without their feelings getting hurt because someone else disagrees with how they see something.

Im going to be around for years princess

What more do you want?! Are we still deficient in some areas? Absolutely. However, we finally played to Dobb's strengths, we were able to throw the ball down the field when needed and our D made adjustments and essentially shut them down for 3 quarters. Once Jack Jones came in we got a more consistent push up front. Of course I'm still concerned with conservative play calling when only up 2 scores early in the 4th. However, it was blatantly obvious that we improved from week 1 to week 2, and we finished them off instead of imploding late in the game like early on last year. Did VT turn the ball over a ton? Yes, but several of those were created by our defense and we made them pay for them. We are getting better, period. A good win for our program on the national stage.

I realize it's one game in our season.

But this was the biggest game, on the biggest stage, ever played by two college football teams. And our team won.

Now act like adults instead of toddlers at nap time.

Biggest in attendance... yes. Biggest in terms of relevance not even close. I hope you understand that.

I'd argue a National Championship game is "bigger."

However, we did play in the "largest" game.

Definitely. That asterisk will be pronounced if the season goes as it could. Its a win just like the first one at the end of the day.

AND Bama.

Only Ole Miss has had luck vs Bama in the SEC in recent years. If Alabama is the only loss in regular season this year I'll be more than happy! As much as I hate Bama and would love to beat them my happiness isn't determined on one opponent or one game but the overall narrative for the season. Personally Florida is more important for this year in getting over the hump for the program.

I'd argue a National Championship game is "bigger."

However, we did play in the "largest" game.

I'd argue a NC is more important, but NOT bigger.
I'd argue that the B@B WAS the "biggest" football game ever played in America, in the true and common sense of the word 'big'.

we're right, yore wrong :)

This one was for the record books. The attendance record will probably never be broken, unless BMS can pull this off again with two other teams. I personally think that one of those teams would have to be Tennessee for it to happen though.

No current stadium has that type of capacity and other race tracks don't have the setup that actually allows for this.

It was prime time TV with a lot of interest and Tennessee won the game. Be happy for once!

It was awesome and successful from an attendance stand point, but B@B will be irrelevant in a few weeks. Would mean a lot more if it was two highly ranked teams.

Not even close to the "biggest" game ever played

Say it to his face Fumble. Dare you.

This sounds like an ultimate excuse, but appy state and Ohio were the perfect trap games. Appy state u have the biggest game ever the following week. For Ohio u just got back from the biggest game ever and have Florida this week. They put up 45 against va tech and I believe they will show out against Florida. I am not worried about them. If hall is back the line will be fine
