The Knoxville media, which is coming to grips with the fact they are finally going to have to work, is cannibalizing each other. Dave Hooker just told a caller who mentioned something Griffith said earlier in the day that "You should be careful about getting your football news from the basketball and softball guy." Excellent.

That's actually pretty funny. I think both Hooker and Adams can be pretty good when they actually try. Hooker seems like he enjoys messing with people.

griffith sucks more than karen sypher at a basketball coaches convention. he should get ripped.

Yup, Griffith sucks, Adams sucks, Hooker sucks, and Basilio does too.As a matter of fact I can't think of too many people who cover the Vols that has even a little bit of common sense.

I can withstand Edwards and Ward when they're at their best. It seems to me that in every article I read on GVX, there is always a typo.

Ward is good, no doubt about it. When it comes to recruiting he's ahead of Hooker... I will say though, that I do like listening to Hooker on the radio, more for his personality, etc than for anything substantive.

I like Ward. He is the best on the staff. Griffith is the one I hate the most. Here in Memphis, he isn't welcome anymore on sports talk radio.

I have been very disappointed in the media and their stories leading up to the season. If Dooley doesn't give them a quote, they have nothing to write, and if he does, they all write the same thing.

Anybody can do a player interview or talk about NCAA problem at our or other universities. Where are the stories that get you excited about the season, look at some of the upcoming games? We have a lot of new coaches on this team, how about some profiles on them so we can get a feel for them like we did Eddie Gran last year.(forgive me if they have done some of this, but I missed it if they did) I would like to see more digging and working to get good stories that get you going for the season but I guess they just want to twtter their life away!

IMO Rucker does the best job. He's almost always the first to report something and has never been wrong on anything.

Ditto on the misspellings. I find it not just on GVX but almost all sports articles these days. It's really pathetic. Do they not have spell check? If goes farther than that, often they use the wrong verb or tense, "their" instead of "there" or vice-versa, just as an example. It really detracts from the substance of the articles and, to me, depicts a lack of professionalism. You would think with all the prople who are out of work these days they at lest could find some people who can "write" and learn to use spell-check.:eek:lol:

Yep, they have no actual editor of any competence, apparently contracting it out to some 6th-grade kid. :jpshakehead:
