The Bama Scourge is about to hit the SEC

As we have all pointed out numerous times, Neyland is not as loud as it should be. That was the one thing my LSU friends said last year during the game, "Man yall are quiet in here! And why do you keep sitting down??" During the Bama game they were louder than us up until we took the lead in the fourth. When it is rockin it is awesome!!! But that is not often. The number of orange fans is intimidating. But our noise and volume is not!

How do you know that; that's exactly how we beat him in the game that went to like 13 OT's was stopping them in short yardage situations, and many of those were at the goal line.

I've been to Legion field twice, and Jordan Hare one time. JD is louder than Neyland, and Legion is not loud at all, which is puzzling since Bama fans are such fanatics.

Bama doesn't play any games in Legion Field now but play all of them in Bryant-Denny which is plenty loud whe UT comes to town. I agree that the shape of Legion field didn't hold in the noise as well as their field in Tusculoser.

Neyland can be loud! The Cal game last year was as loud as I have ever heard it. It was crazy loud. I am surprised that Bama's stadium is loud. I guess all of the students in the parking lot mixing drinks during the game must make one heck of a lot of noise.

That and they either finally got to make out w/ their cousin or got engaged to them. so they are pumped :clapping:

May I remind you that in 3 of the 6 years Saban was at LSU his teams were a complete bust, including his last year there. In 2001 when LSU beat UT in the SEC championship game that was a fluke; Tenn kicked LSU's ass in the regular season and I'm convinced that if the Tigers hadn't lost their top QB/TB before halftime the Vols would have won the 2001 SECC. Saban is a great defensive coach but nothing on offense and I'm not overly impressed by his OC. I still say that 4 years from now Alabama will still be following behind Auburn/LSU in the SEC West division.

saban doesn't change anything. We still have pure hatred for each other...and games will still be won by one or two points at most

There are a lot of things wrong here.

I read in today's Birmingham newspaper that Alabama is in the process of expanding Bryant-Denny-Saban Stadium to over 100,000, which no doubt will baloon to top the capacity of Jordan-Hare and probably Neyland. They are flush with millions in donations since the hiring of Saban.

There is no doubt that with the hiring of Saban that they wil be able to keep top draft picks in state (Jamarcus Russell, Sears and the Jason Allens). Spectacular sucess will be coming their way soon at the expense of the other league teams.

Just as the Roman general, Aetius's failure to finish off Attila the Hun at the Battle of Chalons eventually spelled doom to the Roman Empire, the NCAA failure to unlease the death penalaty on the rogue school, Alabama will prove disasterous to the other football programs in the SEC!

Waive the white flag if you want. I have no fear of Saban. In the history of his career he has exactly 2 10 win season. He has coached at 2 big schools in states where football is king and in state talent. He does have 1 split national title. He failed miserably at the nfl level and ran before he was tabbed a loser. Be scared if you want. I for one have no fear.

I disagree here. However, even if he were an NFL failure, Pete Carroll has done pretty well for himself.

How can you not consider him a failure in the NFL? Look at his record. His players hated him and apparently so did his former assistant coaches from Mich ST as none of them followed him to a major power house school like LSU. I have no fear of him.

No kidding. Let me make sure I've got this correct: Saban got lucky in the 01 SECCG BECAUSE his starting QB got injured. Nice take....I reckon.

The guy was 48-16 in 5 seasons, with 2 SEC titles and 1 NC. At a school that enjoyed 7 losing seasons during the previous 10 prior to his arrival. He's just lucky, and I'm not fearful at all. :whistling:

1 ten win season at a school in a state that is LOADED with talent. Denardo left him a ton of talent. Be scared if you want.
Some of our fans look for resons to be scared of other teams. It amazes me.

He did get lucky that Mauck or whatever got to come in and play... he found a stud in his 2nd string QB who stepped up when they needed him... Mauck couldn't of dominated us if he was sitting on the bench.

I think he improved a team that was in terrible disarray when he arrived. He got really hosed in the Culpepper-Brees QB debate. He took Culpepper, but that was largely because his doctors told him that Brees wasn't ready. The Phins were incredibly reliant on Ricky Williams. His last significant season in Miami he touched the ball on 75% of offensive snaps. Without him, that team took a serious plunge. I think in a couple more years Saban would have had that team going to the playoffs. If he were in the NFC, he probably would have gotten them there last year.
