Bryce Brown: " I hear all the stories about the fans getting crazy around here and all that....I'm looking forward to seeing that!"

I view this as a new era that no Vol fan has known, freshmen starting at skill positions, no position safe unless your EB, is what this program has needed for years. A coach with swagger, not a goodie 2 shoes reputation. A coaching staff that has an NFL resume, proven recruiters and position coaches to get the maximum potential from players. I for one look forward to the new era and hope to erase the Fultanic regime from my memory as quickly as possible.

do you want to erase the memory of beating FSU for the '98 Championship..

don't throw the baby out with the bath water

Like GetEmVols, I too joined just so that I could reply to this thread. I was born a Vol fan, grew up a Vol fan, and continue to be a Vol fan. I married a gal whose father is a season ticket holder since '71, and I have bought those tickets from him since 2003. I can say that, for the first time since the season opener against Cal a few years back, I get butterflies in my stomach every time I think about getting up at 6am this saturday to drive in to Knoxville. Which happens every few minutes. CANNOT WAIT....MUCH.....LONGER!!!

I'd say the Peach Bowl 02 was probably when I first thought it may be time, but before then during the season I was wondering. The Florida game was a the first big clue that year, when we absolutely didn't show up at all and Florida wasn't even all that good that year. Then we took so many OTs to beat Arkansas and I knew we just weren't very good that year. The Peach Bowl was just the icing on the cake. Even worse that night I got a horrible stomach virus and I started puking near the end of the game. At first I just thought their performance was making me sick, but at 3AM when I was still chucking I knew something was up.

I'm sick of having a false hope that we should be great. These past six years have been a slow, painful death to our once proud program.

I want teams coming into Neyland to literally be shaking as they get off the bus like they used too. We have the best damn stadium in the country and it is a damn shame that we lost ALMOST EVERY big game there for the past 8 seasons.

It is an INSULT to US that programs like Georgia, LSU, and Ole FREAKIN Miss are doing better than us at a sport that us and Alabama put on the map.

I want Sugar Bowls, not Outback or Peach Bowls.

It is time to get off our hands, raise hell, and rightfully take our place as a top 10 program!

ITS TIME AND GO VOLS!!!! See you boys Saturday at 6AM!

More ready than I've been in years. Here's the saddest thing for me as a Vol fan about the last 6 years or so. For a long time, I would be extremely upset after a loss for quite a while; my wife even complained about it. Sometime during the Fulmer era, I just wasn't as upset as I used to be after a loss. At first, I thought this was just me getting older, but it really came down to the fact that I started getting used to losing football games. I'm ready for that feeling to go away. Let the new era begin.

I practically expect that I'll be listening to dejected players in the locker room and angry fans on the call-in show when I drive home. It's like that has become part of the gameday experience.

Really hoping that changes now!

I'm ready.

Ready to hear give him six and it's good repeated in a continuous loop all season long.

Ready to hear Stopped for a loss, Hit and buried in the back field, intercepted and returned for 6 and berry is now the leading candidate for the Heisman repeated all season long.

Ready to hear Tennessee is the surprise team of the year.

Ready to hear all the Mind numbing talking heads and print journalist start kissing CLK's and Tennessee's arse.

Ready? Been Ready..............
