Gardner-Webb over Kentucky. Belmont beats Cincinnati. Now, Mercer leads Southern Cal by 17 at the half.

Wasn't on TV. Haven't seen any highlights or stats yet. I can guarantee one thing. A bunch of highly touted freshmen are going to think they've died and gone to hell when Tim Floyd fires up the defensive drills at the next practice.

Mayo played the full 40, put up 32 shot 27 times, made 11 including 4-11 from 3 point range and had 8 TO's. I'm a big fan of Floyd but this is the stupidest move he could have ever made bringing in Mayo, let's hope he doesn't screw this whole team up for the year he's there. Meanwhile, Taj Gibson had 13 points and 14 boards and 5 TO's

Mercer gave Alabama all they wanted tonight and pulled to within 2 midway through the 2nd half before losing 90-83.

watched ETSU play Milligan tonight, Granted it was Milligan...they looked pretty good. Can't wait to see them play Belmont, Gardner-Webb, and Mercer

Thanks for the report. You know, I've received three emails soliciting donations for Mercer since Saturday and all three referenced the win over USC. They know how to milk the cow down there. I did read one that talked about a hotel being built where the football stadium once stood. I may have stop in and check things out a bit next time I pass through.
